The Pedal RX is mountain biking. Not as a marketing claim, but as a consistent design decision: every single component is tailored to this concept. Once you've seen it, you won't be able to get over it.
The Pedal RX is not a hookah that just happens to look like a bicycle. The biking concept extends from the coal plate to the blow-off - and without compromise.
In concrete terms, this means: The carbon plate is designed as a chainring - with openings that are reminiscent of the teeth of a chainring. The sleeve around the smoke column imitates a shock absorber. The blow-off occurs on a spring that is deliberately part of this concept.
Many shishas in the upper price segment look good - in the product picture. The Pedal RX looks good when you hold it in your hand and look closely.
The charcoal plate with a diameter of 19 cm is the first thing that catches your eye. The chainring structure is not just printed - the openings are actually cut out. When smoking, smoke emerges from the sides through these openings. This is part of the Pedal RX's blow-off design.
Important: The prints on the charcoal plate are not completely heat-resistant. Do not place glowing coal directly on the printed surfaces - always place it on the edge or one Coal basket use.
The sleeve sits around the smoke column and imitates a shock absorber. In Venom he dominates with his contrast. It fits almost organically into the slate. In the Pearl it creates a soft transition to the white of the rest.
The hose connection is magnetic. That sounds like a small detail, but it makes the difference in everyday life: no screwing, no tilting, no effort. Simply dock and you're done.
Perhaps the most subtle detail: If you change the mouthpiece while smoking or briefly unplug the shisha, the excess pressure comes out of the spring - deliberately positioned this way because the spring is one of the biking elements.
The result: an effect that looks as if the shisha is briefly letting off steam like a downhill biker in a curve. This is no coincidence - this is design that has been thought through right down to the function.
AMOTION is very open here: the Pedal RX has a slightly stricter pull than other models from the brand. This is a design choice, not a weakness - but it's something you should know before you buy.
The concept behind it is explained by the name: A downhill trail challenges you. You have to work actively, commit yourself, feel the route. Anyone who is used to a light, open pull without resistance and wants this at all costs will not be happy with the Pedal RX.
The diffuser can be screwed open or closed - this gives you a certain amount of control. Open diffuser means more airflow, looser draft. In addition, the head used significantly influences the result.
