The seven ranges differ in design, capacity and wall height – and therefore in smoking behavior. Cosmo Bowl Turkish

The Turkish is the classic Cosmo multi-hole head with five to six holes in the bottom. Depot 13–20 g depending on design, height approx. 8.5–9 cm, outer diameter approx. 6.8 cm. It's the series for Darkblend and Turkish tobacco: molasses drips off, the flavor becomes intense. Designs: Classic, Groot, Predator, Dragon, Mummy, Meteora, Bell and Combo as well as White Groot and White Meteora made of light clay.

Editions & Specials

Here we round up limited Cosmo Bowls with a special design or special packaging: Germany Edition and Dubai Edition (each 14–20 g, 9 cm height, 29.90 €), Arabia (14–20 g, 9 cm, 12.90 €), Halloween and St. Patricks Day (12–15 g each, 16.90 €), Asia (11–15 g, 9.90 €) and Assassino Cappuccino (16–20 g, 19.90 €). Technically they smoke like the standard multi-hole heads – the exception is the St. Patricks Day. All editions are intended as collector's and gift items.

Shot / A-Shot

The Shot is the smallest Cosmo Bowl: a compact multi-hole head with a 6–10 g capacity. You need significantly less tobacco per session and get by with less charcoal – ideal if you smoke alone or with one other person or want a short session in between. On the Shot we recommend direct stud contact with the HMD, so the device sits directly on the tobacco. Designs: A-Shot Turkish, Shot Predator, Shot Mummy and Shot Dragon.

killer

The Killer series – part of the manufacturer's Dead Line – has a taller wall than the Turkish and a depot of 12–14 g. The taller wall makes the Killer the choice for bold dark blend with an HMD over longer sessions. Three designs: Killer Mummy made of white clay, Killer Dead Predator in Black and Killer Dragon in Green-Blue.

Phunnel

The Phunnel is a single-hole head: in the middle sits a raised chimney, around which the tobacco is placed. Molasses can't drain away and stays in the depot – the design for juicy Virginia blend and long sessions without loss of flavor. The pure Phunnel models Classic, Groot and Mummy hold approx. 10 g. The Turkish-Phunnel hybrids Saturn and Combo Phunnel offer 12–17 g and are also suitable for mixes and dessert blends.

Future

The Future is a multi-hole head in a modern shape with a 14–20 g depot – as much as the large Turkish models. It's aimed at anyone who smokes Darkblend or Turkish tobacco in a group and wants a session without rebuilding the head. Available in two designs: Future Dragon and Future Predator, both made of red clay for 9,90 €.

Russian

The Russian is the classic Russian shape: a multi-hole head made of unglazed, warm brown clay with a flat core and somewhat larger, more widely spaced holes. The hole pattern provides plenty of airflow and a calm smoke output – flavors of Virginia and Darkblend come through clearly. Capacity: 14–18 g. Two variants: the Russian and the Russian FF with a particularly flat hole pattern, both for €14.90.

Which Cosmo Bowl suits you?

Choosing is easier if you answer three questions: What tobacco do you smoke, how many people are sitting at the shisha, and which attachment do you use?

• By tobacco: Darkblend and Turkish tobacco are heavy and full of molasses – a multi-hole head like Turkish, Killer, Future or Russian lets the excess drip off and brings out the flavor intensely. Juicy Virginia blend should keep its moisture, here the Phunnel is the right choice. Mixes work in both designs. You'll find the detailed comparison in the guide Phunnel vs. multi-hole head.
• By round: If you usually smoke alone or with one other person, the Shot (6–10 g) saves you tobacco and charcoal. For groups and long evenings, go for Turkish, Killer or Future with a 12–20 g depot.
• By attachment: All Cosmo Bowls are suitable for HMD and smokebox and also work with aluminum foil. With an attachment you regulate the heat via the lid and vent slits, with foil via the number and position of the coals. Matching Essays you'll find with us.
• Fit: Cosmo Bowls have a standard head connection and, with a head seal, fit on almost all smoke columns. For push-fit connections or unusual diameters, a Head adapter.
• Optics: Within a series, the design is a matter of taste – Groot, Predator, Dragon or Mummy smoke almost the same.

Building the Cosmo Bowl correctly

Fill Darkblend loosely and fluffy: loosen the tobacco with your fingers, place it in the head without pressure and only so far that the holes stay clear. Turkish tobacco can sit a bit more compact and be pressed down lightly. For the larger multi-hole heads – Turkish, Killer, Future and Russian – the usual rule applies: leave some distance between the tobacco and the heat management device or foil so that nothing burns. Light natural charcoal all the way through until it's grey all around – half-lit charcoal tastes bad and scratches the throat. Two to three cubes in 26–27 mm have proven effective. How to light charcoal cleanly is in the guide Light shisha charcoal; matching Natural charcoal you'll find in the shop. With an HMD, you leave the lid open at first until the tobacco starts producing smoke, then close the slits; if it starts to scratch, you open it again. Care and Durability

After the session, let the head cool down and knock out the tobacco residue. Then rinse it out with warm water and loosen molasses residue with a soft brush – no scouring pad, no dishwasher, no aggressive cleaners, since unglazed clay absorbs odors. Then let the head dry completely, ideally overnight. Avoid temperature shocks: never hold a hot head under cold water, or stress cracks can form. Clay is a natural material and every Cosmo Bowl is handmade – small variations in color, structure, weight or depot are normal and not a defect. Cared for this way, a Cosmo Bowl will accompany you through very many sessions.

Limited Editions from Cosmo Bowl

Besides the standard series there are limited editions that differ in design, embossing and packaging. The Germany Edition was launched exclusively for Shisha Messe 2026 in Frankfurt: a Turkish multi-hole head with a 14–20 g depot and 9 cm height, embossed „Shisha Messe“ lettering on the rim, a silver metal badge on the front and its own box – €29.90. The Dubai edition is the counterpart in black with a gold metal badge and branded box, also 14–20 g, 9 cm and 29,90 €. The Arabia features oriental-geometric ornamentation and the lettering „Cosmo Arabia" – 14–20 g, 9 cm, 12.90 €.

Seasonal are the Halloween in Black-Orange with pumpkin motifs and the St. Patrick's Day in green-tinted clay with a clover motif – both 12–15 g for 16.90 €. The Asia in Asian design holds 11–15 g and costs €9.90. The Assassin Cappuccino in cappuccino brown offers a tobacco depot of 16–20 g at the upper end of the editions, €19.90. Which tobacco goes with Cosmo Bowls?

The multi-hole heads Turkish, Killer, Shot, Future and Russian are made for Darkblend and Turkish tobacco: the holes let the molasses drip off, and the flavor becomes intense. The Cosmo Phunnels keep the juice in the head and suit Virginia blend. You'll find matching flavors in our Tobacco range.

How many grams of tobacco fit in a Cosmo Bowl?

That depends on the range: Shot and A-Shot hold 6–10 g, the pure Phunnel models Classic, Groot and Mummy about 10 g, Saturn and Combo Phunnel 12–17 g, Killer 12–14 g, Russian 14–18 g, Turkish 13–20 g depending on the design, and Future 14–20 g. The editions range between 11 and 20 g. Fluffy, loosely packed Darkblend ends up at the lower end of the range, compact Turkish tobacco at the upper end.

What is the difference between Turkish, Killer and Shot?

All three are multi-hole heads, but differ in size and wall height. The Turkish is the standard with a 13–20 g depot. The Killer has a higher wall at 12–14 g and is designed for strong Darkblend with HMD. The Shot is the compact version with 6–10 g for solo sessions.

Phunnel or multi-hole – which Cosmo Bowl should I choose?

If you mostly smoke Darkblend or Turkish tobacco, go for a multi-hole head like Turkish, Killer or Future. If you smoke juicy Virginia blend and like long sessions without losing flavor, the Cosmo Phunnel is the better choice. For both, Saturn Phunnel and Combo Phunnel are suitable. Does an HMD fit the Cosmo Bowl?

Yes. All Cosmo Bowls in the shop are HMD-compatible and fit common smokeboxes. With the Turkish, Killer, Future and Russian, leave a bit of space between the tobacco and the attachment; with the Shot, direct contact with the studs works. You'll find attachments under Essays, the operation is explained by the Smokebox guide.

Can I build a Cosmo Bowl with aluminum foil?

Yes, every Cosmo Bowl also works with aluminum foil. Stretch the foil tightly over the rim, poke evenly spaced holes into it, and leave a bit of space between the tobacco and the foil so nothing burns. You control the heat via the number and position of the coals.

Does the bowl fit on every shisha?

Cosmo Bowls have a standard head connector and, with a matching head seal, fit most smoke columns. If your shisha has a push-fit connector or an unusually thick or thin head base, you'll need a Head adapter. If in doubt, send us a photo of your head connector, we'll tell you what fits.

How do I clean a Cosmo Bowl?

Let the head cool down, tap out the tobacco residue, rinse with warm water and loosen any remains with a soft brush. No dishwasher, no scouring pad, no harsh cleaners – unglazed clay absorbs odors. Then let it dry completely before using the head again. Never shock-cool a hot head with cold water, or cracks may occur.

Why are Cosmo Bowls so heavy and thick-walled?

According to the manufacturer, the wall thickness is 5 to 10 mm. The solid clay acts like a heat reservoir: it absorbs the heat of the charcoal slowly and releases it evenly to the tobacco. As a result, the tobacco doesn't burn as quickly and the smoke stays consistent. The weight is part of the concept.

Where do Cosmo Bowls come from?

Cosmo Bowl is a brand from Russia. The heads are handmade there from clay – mostly red clay, with individual designs made from white or dyed clay. Each piece therefore shows small differences in color and structure. The manufacturer organizes its models into collections such as Classic Collection, Mixology Line and Dead Line, which includes the Killer range.

What's different about the editions?

Technically the editions correspond to the standard heads – most are multi-hole heads, they differ in design, embossing and packaging. Germany and Dubai Edition feature a metal badge and come in their own box; the Germany Edition was released exclusively for the Shisha Messe 2026 in Frankfurt. Arabia, Halloween, St. Patricks Day, Asia and Assassino Cappuccino feature special embossings and colors.
