Why seals & molasses catchers matter

One leaky hookah means less smoke, poor draw and an overall disappointing session. High-quality seals ensure that bowl, column and head sit together perfectly. A Molasses catcher prevents tobacco juice from running into the smoke column – this saves you tedious cleaning and protects the shisha from corrosion.

Tip: Bowl seals with a lip offer extra grip and prevent the bowl from shifting during transport. Choose „Small“ for thinner columns and „Big“ for thicker models.

Which seal do I need?

Head seals sit between the head and the column, bowl seals between the bowl and the column. Both are standard size on most shishas – if in doubt, just get both.

Do I need a molasses catcher?

If you smoke often: definitely yes. It keeps the smoke column clean and extends the lifespan of your shisha. Especially with Phunnel heads, which produce a lot of molasses.

How often should I change seals?

Rubber seals last several months with good care. When they become brittle or no longer seal properly, it's time to replace them.
