The Hoarfrost Down-Cut series features a dense all-over arrangement of sharp cut tips on the belly of the bowl, which are visually reminiscent of hoarfrost crystals. Combined with fine diamond bands on the neck and base, the result is a lively play of light: the glass is very richly pigmented blue - a deep blue between turquoise and ocean - while the ground tips break through the pigmentation with crystal-clear transparency.

Design and processing

The low, wide cone shape gives the bowl a solid, secure stand and makes it a stable base for large shishas. The neck and base have the characteristic Caesar diamond cut in two fine bands, while the main surface of the belly is decorated with Hoarfrost tips - each spike tip is hand-set, hand-blown and therefore slightly individual and unique.

The glass is high-quality Bohemian lead crystal, cleanly colored and without visible streaks on the neck. The open, thin lip at the neck opening merges seamlessly into the smoke column when attached and avoids a break in the lines. The lip is slightly faceted on the inside, which provides additional friction when it is attached to the diving shaft and reduces unwanted slipping.
