Magic Charcoal Shisha Charcoal 28mm 20kg

Magic Charcoal is the new name of Zauberwürfel: Since early 2026 the natural charcoal has been called Magic Charcoal, the quality is the same. The box still says “by Zauberwürfel”.

The Magic Charcoal 28mm natural charcoal is the largest cube size in the range. The 28 × 28 × 28 mm cubes deliver up to 120 minutes of even heat, pressed from 100 % Coconut shells, without chemical additives and without any taste of its own, with less than 3 % ash.

The 20 kg set consists of 20 boxes of 1 kg with 48 cubes each, 960 cubes in total. The price per kilo is well below that of a single 1 kg box, and the boxes stay protected until you open them.

Why Magic Charcoal 28mm?

• Long burning time: Up to 120 minutes of heat per cube, so you need to add coals less often.
• Plenty of mass: The largest cube in the range, made for long sessions.
• Little ash: Less than 3 % ash, the airflow in the bowl stays clear.
• Neutral taste: You taste your tobacco, not the charcoal.
• Natural: 100 % coconut shells, without chemical additives.

Lighting and setup

To light it you need an electric charcoal lighter or a gas burner, a lighter is not enough for natural charcoal. Turn the cubes until all sides are evenly grey.

Only place the cubes once they are evenly glowing all over. 28 mm is the largest cube size in the range: with compact smokeboxes, check first whether there is enough space. You can find smaller cubes as Magic Charcoal 27mm and 26mm.
