Mata Leon – Glass Windbreak Shisha
The Mata Leon glass windbreak is a decorative glass dome made of heat-resistant borosilicate glass that is placed over the shisha coals. Protects the embers from drafts, ensures more even burning and therefore more consistent smoke quality - and looks really impressive. Dishwasher safe, durable, suitable for outdoor use.
The Mata Leon glass windbreak is more than just a functional part - it is a design element that visually enhances every shisha session. The heat-resistant glass dome is placed over the glowing coals and protects them from drafts, wind and accidental contact, while the embers remain visible through the clear glass.
Heat-resistant borosilicate glass
The borosilicate glass used is extremely heat-resistant and thermal shock-stable - the same material that is also used in laboratory and kitchen glass. This means the wind protection is durable and remains clear even after many sessions.
Better smoke quality thanks to draft protection
Without the influence of wind, the coal burns more evenly. This means: more constant heat release to the tobacco, more stable flavor and denser clouds. No flickering of embers, no sudden heat spikes caused by drafts - particularly important when smoking outdoors.
Suitable for outdoor and indoor use
Whether on the balcony, terrace, in the garden or indoors next to open windows and air conditioning - the Mata Leon ensures stable smoking behavior and an elegant setup everywhere. After the session, let it cool down and clean with warm water.

What is the Mata Leon glass windscreen?
A decorative glass dome made of heat-resistant borosilicate glass that is placed over the shisha coals. It protects the embers from drafts, ensures an even glow - and at the same time creates an elegant, visibly glowing effect that visually enhances every session.
What is the glass windscreen suitable for?
Perfect for outdoor sessions on a balcony, terrace or garden, heavily air-conditioned rooms or shisha lounges that value aesthetics. Even in windless rooms, it creates a tidier look than an open charcoal plate.
Is the glass getting hot?
The glass becomes noticeably warm - touching it is not recommended at normal session temperatures. Heat-resistant borosilicate glass can withstand temperatures without any problems. To clean and store it, let the windbreak cool down briefly.
Which shisha sizes fit?
The Mata Leon is designed to fit standard fireplace attachments and most common shisha tops. Please check the inner diameter in the product dimensions before ordering - usually fits Maklaud, MAXX, Oblako, Amy and other standard shishas.
How do I clean the glass windscreen?
Once cooled, rinse with warm water and detergent. Vinegar or citric acid helps with residues. The glass is dishwasher safe - but gentle hand washing protects the clear look in the long term.
Does the windbreak make the smoke more intense?
Indirectly yes: The coal burns more evenly without the influence of drafts, which leads to more constant heat on the tobacco and thus to a more stable flavor and denser clouds. No flickering, no heat spikes.
