MLT FRT is the tropical strain in the Xperience range, whose strain names and can artwork are based on themes outside of the shisha world. The mango leads: ripe, thick-fleshed and without the harsh acidic peak that unripe mango flavors often bring with them. The papaya works underneath and gives the profile its soft, almost melon-like width, while the guava sits on top as a perfumey, slightly floral tip and makes the variety distinguishable from a pure mango tobacco. Underneath lies the Darkside standard base: a Burley Virginia blend that works at the brand's strongest nicotine level. MLT FRT is aimed at everyone who wants tropical sweetness without citrus counterparts.

The mango is at the forefront for us from the first move and remains the reference point throughout the session. After about twelve minutes the guava joins in as a perfumey tip, around minute 40 the papaya takes over the base and makes the smoke softer. It is noteworthy that MLT FRT does not become more pointed as the running time increases, but rather wider - a curve that we do not see in the acidic Xperience varieties.
