It regulates the heat on your tobacco precisely, prevents direct charcoal burning and at the same time brings an elegant gold look to your shisha - perfectly matched to the MAXX Royal Ocean Gold, Emerald Gold or any other gold shisha.
Premium quality instead of aluminum foil
Instead of disposable aluminum foil, you place the MAXX Guard directly on the tobacco head. The coals lie on top of the metal grid and the construction directs the heat evenly down to the tobacco. No burns, no aluminum foil residue in the aroma, no wasted material. The solid stainless steel base with high-quality gold coating is scratch-resistant, corrosion-resistant and will last for years.
Fit & Compatibility
Designed for standard shisha heads with an inner diameter of 60-75 mm - this covers almost all common phunnel and multi-hole heads. Visually harmonious with any shisha in gold, brass or warm stainless steel accents.
The right setup
Two 27 mm natural carbons (e.g. Rubik's cube 27 mm) fill the guard optimally. If necessary, add a third charcoal after 30-40 minutes - for long sessions with a constant heat profile.

Does the guard fit my shisha?
The MAXX Guard is designed for standard shisha heads with an inner diameter of 60-75 mm - this covers almost all common phunnel and multi-hole heads (Cosmo Bowl, Oblako, Hookain, Tangiers, Aino, Vandenberg etc.).
Which coal do you recommend?
27 mm natural charcoal made from coconut shell (e.g. Rubik's Cube 27 mm) - fills the guard optimally and provides ideal heat transfer. 2 cubes to start with, if necessary a third after 30-40 minutes.
Why HMD instead of classic aluminum foil?
More precise heat control, no aluminum foil residue in the tobacco, reusable (more sustainable), more consistent smoke quality throughout the entire session - and of course a completely different visual appearance.
How do I clean the MAXX Guard?
Allow to cool after the session, then clean with warm water and a soft brush. No steel wool and no aggressive cleaners - the gold coating should be preserved. If there are crusts, soak briefly in vinegar water.
Is that real gold?
No - it is a high-quality gold coating on a stainless steel base. This ensures the golden look, but remains heat-resistant, scratch-resistant and corrosion-resistant. Real gold would be too soft and not suitable for heat.
