The Na Grani Pulsar is the new shisha model from the Russian brand Na Grani and is made entirely of stainless steel. What stands out is the slim stem with its twisted middle section, topped by a wide, flat charcoal tray. The blow-off sits in the base, along with one hose port, a diffuser on the downstem and a molasses catcher. The individual parts can be taken off, so the Pulsar is quick to clean. Included are the stem, diffuser, charcoal tray, hose and mouthpiece – a vase is not included.
The Na Grani Pulsar is a single-hose shisha made of stainless steel with a twisted stem and a blow-off in the base. Na Grani manufactures in Russia, and you can already find the Model 1 and the Poker foil poker from the brand in our shop; the Pulsar is the brand's new model. It is aimed at anyone looking for a stainless steel shisha with a design of its own who prefers to choose their vase themselves.
The stem is kept slim and twisted in the middle, with a wide, flat charcoal tray on top. Below it, the base connects with a side hose port and an integrated blow-off, and the downstem with diffuser leads from it into the water. A molasses catcher is also included. Included are the stem, diffuser, charcoal tray, hose and mouthpiece; a vase is not included.
Design & build: stainless steel with a twisted stem
The stem, base, downstem and charcoal tray of the Pulsar are made of stainless steel and share the same silver metal tone. The defining element is the twisted middle section of the stem: several grooves spiral around it, and above and below it narrows into a slim neck.
At the top, the stem flows into the wide charcoal tray with a flat rim, at the bottom into the base, where the hose port sits on the side. The individual parts can be taken off – so you can reach every spot when cleaning.
Technical highlights
- Material: Stainless steel – taste-neutral, easy to care for and practically rust-free.
- Hose ports: 1 hose port, on the side of the base.
- Blow-off in the base: The valve lets you release stale smoke from the vase without taking off the head or hose.
- Diffuser: sits at the end of the downstem and splits the smoke into many small bubbles. This makes the shisha noticeably quieter, and the draw feels smoother.
- Molasses catcher: holds back molasses dripping from the head before it reaches the stem and the water.
- Coal plate: wide and flat, with room for charcoal and ash during the session.
- Can be taken apart: removable parts that you can clean individually.
- Origin: Russia.
Pulsar or Model 1?
From Na Grani we also carry the Na Grani Model 1. Both are made of stainless steel but differ in their design: the Model 1 is built for push-fit vases, its stem can be assembled tall or compact, and the downstem can be shortened. The Pulsar relies on the twisted stem, its own base with blow-off and a molasses catcher.
If you want a versatile stem for different push-fit vases, go for the Model 1. If you like the design of the Pulsar and want the blow-off right in the base, the Pulsar is the right choice.
Matching accessories for the Pulsar
The vase has to fit the base of the Pulsar – write to us before you order and we will work out with you which vase you can use. For your first session you will also need a head, charcoal and an HMD or foil:
- Vandenberg V1 Phunnel midnight blue – single-hole phunnel from Germany that holds 15–18 g of tobacco.
- ONMO HMD or ONMO HMD Black – heat management device for the charcoal, used instead of foil.
- Magic Charcoal 26 mm, 1 kg – natural charcoal made from coconut shells.
- Well Grani Poker hole cutter – two-piece stainless steel foil poker from the same brand.
Who is the Na Grani Pulsar for?
The Pulsar suits you if you are looking for a stainless steel shisha with a striking stem shape, like having the blow-off right at the base and prefer to choose your vase yourself anyway. With its diffuser it runs quietly enough for relaxed evenings at home.
It is less suitable if you want a shisha that comes with a vase and is ready to use straight away. In that case, take a look at our Shishas that come with a vase.
Care & construction
After every session, pour out the water, remove the downstem, diffuser and molasses catcher and rinse everything with warm water and a brush; flush the stem as well. Let the parts dry completely before you reassemble the Pulsar.
For stainless steel, warm water and a mild detergent are all you need. Scouring agents and steel wool scratch the surface, and salt or chlorine-based cleaners do not belong in the water. Ideally, use fresh water for every session.

Does the Na Grani Pulsar come with a vase?
No. The Na Grani Pulsar comes with the stem, diffuser, charcoal tray, hose and mouthpiece; a vase is not included. The vase has to fit the base of the Pulsar. Write to us before you order and we will work out with you which vase you can use.
What else do I need for the Pulsar?
Besides the vase, you need a tobacco head, charcoal and an HMD or foil. The stem with base and downstem, the diffuser, charcoal tray, hose and mouthpiece are already included.
Where is the blow-off on the Pulsar and how does it work?
The blow-off is built into the base, directly below the stem. If you blow briefly into the hose, the stale smoke escapes from the vase through the valve. Head and hose stay on the shisha.
What material is the Na Grani Pulsar made of?
The Pulsar is made of stainless steel and manufactured in Russia. Stainless steel is taste-neutral and easy to care for. Still, do not add salt or chlorine-based cleaners to the water, as they can cause surface rust.
What does the diffuser on the Pulsar do?
The diffuser at the end of the downstem splits the smoke into many small bubbles. This makes the Pulsar bubble much more quietly, and the draw feels smoother.
Does the Na Grani Pulsar have a molasses catcher?
Yes, the Pulsar comes with a molasses catcher. It holds back molasses dripping from the head before it reaches the stem and the water. After your session, simply rinse it out along with the rest.
What is the difference between the Na Grani Pulsar and the Model 1?
Both are made of stainless steel. The Model 1 is designed for push-fit vases, its stem can be assembled tall or compact, and the downstem can be shortened. The Pulsar has a twisted stem, its own base with blow-off and a molasses catcher.
Is the Na Grani Pulsar suitable for beginners?
Yes, if you have a suitable vase or get one along with it. Handling is simple: one hose port, blow-off in the base, diffuser on the downstem. If you are starting without any accessories of your own, a shisha with a vase included gets you going faster.
How do I clean the Na Grani Pulsar?
Pour out the water, remove the downstem, diffuser and molasses catcher and rinse them with warm water and a brush, then flush the stem. Let all parts dry completely afterwards. Scouring agents and steel wool scratch the stainless steel.
