The Apple On Top Provost 2 (AOT for short) is the standard tool for anyone who wants to get the most out of aluminum foil setups. Unlike blocky HMDs (like Kaloud or ONMO), the Provost on the stretched aluminum foil was placed. The result is heat management that is unbeatable, especially with heat-sensitive or strong tobacco varieties (such as Tangiers, Darkside, MustH).
The principle is ingeniously simple: the lower stainless steel bowl distributes the heat evenly over the foil, while the rotating lid accumulates the heat. This protects the tobacco from direct combustion, but at the same time provides massive clouds - and with less coal than you are used to.

Do I need aluminum foil underneath?
Ja, zwingend. Der Provost ist ein Aufsatz für Alufolie, kein Ersatz dafür.
How many coals?
Two 26 natural carbons are the standard. You almost never need more. Place them opposite each other in the bowl and put the lid on.
Does it fit on every head?
Since it only rests on the top, it can be used universally - whether it's a small Chinahead, a large Phunnel or a Turkish clay head.

Great attachment, a must for aluminum foil smokers. Sure, there is also a cheaper version, but it was a matter of principle for me to have “the original”. And I could almost think that this original performs a bit better than the cheap replicas. But it could also be my imagination.
