The Darkside D-Micro multi-hole head is the compact, economical further development of the D-Shot - handmade in Russia, with robust sound, smart silicone cuff including air chambers and a depot of approx. 16 g of tobacco. Perfectly matched to Russian darkblend tobacco varieties and ideal for 45-60 minute sessions with just 2 coals. HMD-compatible (e.g. ONMO HMD), shock-resistant and durable.
The Darkside D-Micro multi-hole head is the latest addition to the Darkside hardware line. With the D-Micro, Darkside brings another one economical multi-hole head on the market that is specifically designed to maximum enjoyment from Russian dark blend tobaccos to tickle. Simple, timeless design, shock-resistant material, a clever silicone coating with air chambers and an extremely economical depot make it something very special.
The D-Micro seems like a small further development of the D shot: the depot has become slightly larger compared to its predecessor and the silicone sleeve has additional air chambers that act as fine heat protection. Like all heads in the line, the D-Micro handmade in Russia — extremely robust, durable and designed for everyday use.

The D-Micro was targeted for Russian Darkblend tobaccos developed - strong varieties with high nicotine content and intense depth of aroma. Particularly recommended with:
- 🌿 Darkside Tobacco (Core, Base, Soft) — the house match. Flavors like Pink Bird, Code Cola or Bird Mistery harmonize perfectly.
- 🌿 Other dark blends (AINO Strong, Ocean Strong, Hookain Darkblend) — the multi-hole head brings the heat peaks under control.
- 🍇 Virginia tobaccos are possible, but the D-Micro is rather overpowered here - for Virginia it is D Classic the milder choice.

Care & Cleaning
After each session, remove the remaining tobacco and rinse your head with warm water - no soap, no aggressive cleaning agents. Over time, the unglazed clay develops a patina that intensifies the aroma. The silicone sleeve can be removed separately and cleaned in the dishwasher.
Note: Since the Darkside heads are handmade, their shape and color may vary slightly from the product image. The so-called “bleeding” of the head (slight leakage of aromatic oils over the edge) cannot be completely prevented - this is a quality feature of handmade clay heads.

What is the difference between D-Micro and D-Shot?
The D-Micro has a slightly larger depot than the D-Shot and the silicone cuff has additional air chambers that serve as heat protection for the fingers and edge of the head. Otherwise it shares the simple, compact design and the economical concept.
How much tobacco fits in the D-Micro?
The tobacco depot holds approx. 16 g - insert it loosely and fluffily, do not press it tightly. This is enough for a relaxed session of 45-60 minutes with just 2 coals.
What types of tobacco is the D-Micro suitable for?

How many coals do I need?
For an HMD session, 2 natural carbons in 26 or 27 mm are completely sufficient. Warm-up phase approx. 3-4 minutes, then position the coals and enjoy.
How long does a session with the D-Micro last?
Despite the economical 16 g depot, you can smoke for around 45-60 minutes. The multi-hole design in the depot base ensures even heat distribution and no heat build-up.

Is bleeding normal with D-Micro?
Yes. Since the head is made by hand from unglazed clay, so-called “bleeding” can occur - slight traces of aromatic oil on the edge of the head. This is a quality feature of handmade tape heads and does not affect the function. Shape and color may also vary slightly from the product image.
