The Vandenberg V1 Phunnel Black-Brown is the original design of the Vandenberg family: a classic single-hole phunnel with a ribbed handle and a central, raised single hole, handmade, hand-glazed and fired in the Vandenberg factory in Germany. The earthy, rustic Reactive glaze runs from deep black at the edges to warm brown on the dome - a down-to-earth natural tone that complements wood, brass and copper setups.

The decisive character: The central hole keeps the molasses in the depot instead of letting it flow out. This results in even heat distribution, consistent smoke for longer and no bleeding. With a depot of approx. 15-18 g, the V1 is a forgiving all-rounder that also delivers reliable sessions for less experienced head builders.

Design & workmanship: Black-brown

The glaze is applied using the reactive process, so each batch and head shows its own mottling and gradient - deep black at the edges, fading into warm brown across the dome. This means that each head is handmade and unique; no two are exactly the same. The down-to-earth natural tone harmonizes with wood, brass and copper setups. At the base, the embossed V logo design identifies each original Vandenberg head; The dense glaze seals clay and stoneware and remains tasteless.

Care & Cleaning

After the session, rinse your head with warm water and, if necessary, a little dishwashing liquid. The glaze is sealed and does not absorb any aromas, so you can change the type at any time. If there are stuck residues, a short soak helps. Important: no dishwasher and do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaners - both of which damage the glaze.
