Amotion FUTR – Mauve Shisha

The Amotion FUTR is the first medium-sized shisha from the Amotion label – before it, there was only the small travel shisha Roam. It takes over that model's Soft-Touch material and combines it with a futuristic-looking graphic design that visually carries the series. The decisive point about the Mauve variant: the light lilac – a brightened, soft purple tone – sits on the Soft-Touch sleeve, and hose, mouthpiece and seals are color-matched to it exactly.

Technically, the FUTR stays straightforward: 43 cm tall, approx. 2.9 kg in weight, exactly 1 hose connection, 13 mm inner diameter in the dip tube and 11 mm in the smoke column. It's built from stainless steel, ABS, polycarbonate, and silicone, plus a glass bowl with a 15 cm outer diameter that's push-fit rather than screwed on. Aside from the tobacco head, everything you need for setup is already in the box.

Design & finish: Mauve on soft-touch

On the FUTR, Mauve is a light lilac: a brightened, soft purple tone, not a dark dusty rose. It sits on the Soft-Touch sleeve that covers the upper part of the smoke column – matte and grippy, without any gloss, the same material Amotion took over from the travel shisha Roam. Below it, a section of the smoke column stays clear, and this window is exactly where the series' graphic design sits: a field of diagonal stripes and the vertically set AMOTION lettering.

The metal parts are silver throughout: the cone above the plate, the flat charcoal plate with a 16 cm diameter, the locking ring above the bowl and the side-angled hose connection with a silver tip. The bowl is the same across all seven colors – clear, colorless glass, flaring out bell-shaped toward the bottom, with a thick base and a 15 cm outer diameter; it's push-fit, not screwed on. Through the clear glass you can see the silver dip tube. The included silicone hose carries the same lilac tone along with the AMOTION lettering and has silver end pieces, the mouthpiece is color-matched with a silver tip. The Perfect-Fit seals are also matched to the color tone.

Amotion positions the FUTR as an all-inclusive shisha, and that's meant literally: the box contains the smoke column with charcoal plate, the glass bowl, a silicone hose, a mouthpiece and the Perfect-Fit seals. Hose, mouthpiece and seals are color-matched to Mauve, so you won't have to buy a mismatched purple afterward.

At this price point that's not a given – with most shishas you have to add the hose and mouthpiece separately. Deliberately not included are the tobacco head and bowl coaster, plus, as usual, charcoal, charcoal tongs and HMD. Anyone starting from zero just adds a Phunnel plus consumables and can set up.

Matching accessories

Since tobacco head and bowl coaster aren't included in the set, you need at least one Phunnel in addition. Everything else is consumable material or an optional add-on:

• Phunnel tobacco heads – Must-buy, since the FUTR comes without a head.
• Shisha tobacco – Consumable, not included in the set.
• Natural charcoal – matching the 16 cm charcoal plate.
• Attachments & HMDs – an HMD is not included in the scope of delivery.

Who is the FUTR suitable for?

The FUTR suits anyone looking for a medium-sized shisha with 1 hose connection who doesn't want to piece it together part by part. At 43 cm tall and approx. 2.9 kg, it falls into the Medium size class (42–50 cm) and can be taken apart again for storage. For beginners, the scope of delivery is the strongest argument: hose, mouthpiece and seals are already color-matched, the clear glass bowl is included as well, you don't need to check anything for compatibility.

If you already have a collection, Mauve gets you a muted purple tone; if you prefer it darker, you'll find the same shisha with an identical spec sheet as Midnight. The single hose connection is designed for one smoker – for rounds where the hose gets passed around, that's enough. If you want to smoke together with two people permanently in parallel, you need a model with multiple connections.

Care & construction

Setup is straightforward: fill the bowl with water, attach the smoke column – the FUTR uses a push-fit bowl, nothing is screwed –, check the seals are seated, plug the hose onto the hose connection and set the tobacco head. Choose the water level so that the dip tube, with its 13 mm inner diameter, stands securely in the water.

Warm water and a brush are enough to clean the smoke column, charcoal plate and glass bowl. Abrasives and harsh cleaners have no place on the soft-touch sleeve, as the matte surface is sensitive to them. Rinse the silicone hose with clear water and let it dry hanging. Dry all parts thoroughly afterward and briefly check the seals before the next setup.

Note on the glass: the bowl is handcrafted. Small inclusions, such as tiny air bubbles, cannot be completely ruled out in the process and are not grounds for a complaint. The same applies to slight color deviations from the product image as well as differences in the height of the bowl base.
