Moze Varity Lounge Black – Clear Bowl – Black Steel Shisha

On the Moze Varity Lounge Black in the Black Steel version, the colored sleeve is dropped entirely: instead of a resin ring above the smoke column, black-coated stainless steel runs all the way through. That's the only difference from the Wavy versions of the same series – technically all Varity models are built the same way.

The Lounge base carries one hose connection, geared toward solo and two-person sessions. At approx. 52 cm height and approx. 4.1 kg weight, it falls into the size class Large (over 50 cm). The box contains the shisha with charcoal plate, the clear glass bowl and the seals.

Design & craftsmanship: Black Steel on a black Lounge base

Black Steel is the only version in this series without a colored sleeve. Smoke column and base carry the same black coating on stainless steel throughout, there's no material change to resin or POM and no wave pattern. The contour is therefore carried by the component edges: charcoal plate, blow-off ring and bowl adapter set the steps, not the color.

The only visual break comes from the clear glass bowl. It's 26.5 cm tall, measures 21.5 cm at its widest point, and tapers into a very long, narrow neck with a 4.2 cm inner opening – 7 cm with adapter. Thick-walled clear glass under black steel: the combination doesn't need more contrast than that.

Individually adjustable draw

Moze sums up the core of the Varity like this: "Because both the dip tube and the smoke column are individually adjustable in length, you decide for yourself how your Varity feels when smoking." Both parts can be taken apart and reassembled at different lengths. As the range, Moze mentions a more direct draw or a softer pull.

Which build gives you which result is something Moze deliberately doesn't prescribe – and we're not going to make it up either. In practice, you try two or three combinations and stick with the one that suits you. The inner diameters stay constant throughout: 12 mm in the dip tube, 11 mm in the smoke column. Because the smoke column, dip tube, sleeve, charcoal plate, diffuser and blow-off ring are standalone components, the system stays open even after purchase; Moze also offers extension segments for the column and dip tube.

Lounge or Squad? The comparison

Lounge and Squad differ in exactly one component: the base. The Lounge base has one hose connection, the Squad base has four. Smoke column, dip tube, diffuser, charcoal plate and blow-off ring are the same parts on both, and so are height and weight. Neither model smokes better than the other – the number of connections only decides how many people can be on the hose at the same time.

Within the Lounge line, you additionally get a choice of configuration. This one comes with the clear glass bowl. The Frosted variant brings the same bowl in a satin-finish look; the only difference is the glass finish, the dimensions are the same. The smoke column set comes without a bowl (approx. 49 cm without bowl, approx. 2.2 kg) and is the choice if you want to pick your own bowl.

Perfect accessories for your Varity

Hose, mouthpiece, tobacco head, charcoal and HMD are not included in the scope of delivery. Here's where to find them:

• Hoses – the Lounge Base has one connection, so one hose is enough.
• Mouthpieces – useful as soon as more than one person is pulling on the same hose.
• Phunnel tobacco heads – fit onto the bowl seal of the smoke column.
• Attachments & HMDs – keep the charcoal separate from the tobacco and the heat more constant.
• Natural charcoal – the 19 cm charcoal plate also fits larger cube formats.

Who is this Varity suitable for?

This version suits you if you don't want any color on your shisha. No sleeve, no material change, just black-coated stainless steel – this is the most understated variant in the lineup and stays unobtrusive on any shelf and any table. The single hose connection of the Lounge Base makes it a shisha for you alone or with two.

It's less suitable if three or four people regularly want to smoke at the same time – that's what the Squad Base with four connections is for. Space requirements are also part of the decision: about 52 cm in height and about 4.1 kg call for a fixed spot and a cabinet the bowl, at 26.5 cm, will actually fit into.

Care & construction

Setup is done in just a few steps: screw on the bowl, check the seals are seated properly, attach the charcoal plate, plug the hose into the connection. If you've separated the dip tube or smoke column, make sure the segments sit together cleanly and without play.

For cleaning, warm water and a suitable brush are enough: rinse through the smoke column and dip tube, wash the glass bowl separately, then let all the parts dry fully in the open before reassembling. Aggressive or abrasive agents have no place on coated stainless steel. Seals are wear parts – while you're at it, quickly check them for cracks and replace them once they become porous.

Small inclusions in the bowl's glass, such as air bubbles, can't be ruled out with handmade production and are not grounds for a complaint. The same applies to slight color deviations from the product image as well as to differences in the height of the bowl base.
