Moze Varity Lounge Black – Smoke Column Set – Wavy Mint
With the Moze Varity Lounge Black smoke column set in Wavy Mint, you get the Varity deliberately without a glass bowl — you pick the bowl yourself, since the Varity accepts both push-fit and screw bowls. The mint-green acrylic/epoxy resin sleeve carries the wave structure of the Wavy line and sits on black-coated stainless steel. Without a bowl, the setup measures approx. 49 cm at approx. 2.2 kg, the charcoal plate has a 19 cm diameter, and the Lounge Base offers 1 hose connection for solo and two-person sessions. Because the dip tube and smoke column are separable, you determine the setup and thus the draw resistance yourself.
If you already have your favorite bowl sitting in the cabinet, you don't pay for a second one with this smoke column set: the Moze Varity Lounge Black in Wavy Mint comes as a complete smoke column with Lounge Base and 1 hose connection — the glass bowl is deliberately missing here. That's exactly the point of this configuration, since Moze explicitly designs the Varity for both bowl types: „Doesn't matter if it's a push-fit or screw bowl.“ So you decide not just on the color, but also on the glass underneath.
Without the bowl, the setup measures approx. 49 cm and weighs approx. 2.2 kg; with the bowl attached, the finished shisha exceeds 50 cm, putting it in the Large size class. Built from black-coated stainless steel and a resin sleeve (acrylic/epoxy). The dip tube has a 12 mm inner diameter, the smoke column 11 mm, the charcoal plate 19 cm. The box includes the smoke column, charcoal plate and seals.
Design & craftsmanship: Wavy Mint on black stainless steel
This variant's Mint is a light, cool green — not applied flat in the resin, but guided through the wavy structure of the Wavy sleeves in bands that wrap around the body. Alongside the black-coated stainless steel of the base, mount and charcoal plate, this is the strongest color contrast the Lounge Black series has to offer: light sleeve, dark hardware, no in-between tones.
On the Varity, the sleeve isn't a fixed housing but a standalone component over the smoke column. Moze offers the sleeves in Short and Long lengths — which one fits your setup depends on how you assemble the smoke column. There are also extension segments available for lengthening the column.

Individually adjustable draw
The core of the Varity isn't in the sleeve but in the construction underneath. Moze puts it this way: "Because both the dip tube and the smoke column are individually separable, you decide for yourself how your Varity feels when smoking." As the range, the manufacturer cites a more direct pull on one side and a softer draw on the other. Which build delivers which result is nowhere fixed by Moze — you try that out on your own shisha, and that's exactly the point here.
In addition there are two interchangeable components: the diffuser at the lower end of the dip tube makes the draw quieter and gentler, and the blow-off is designed as its own ring, which can be set in two positions depending on the setup. Both are standalone parts of the Varity modular system, in which the smoke column, dip tube, sleeve and charcoal plate are likewise separate components.

Lounge or Squad? The comparison
The difference between Lounge and Squad is limited entirely to the base: the Lounge base has 1 hose connection, the Squad base has 4. Smoke column, dip tube, diffuser, charcoal plate and blow-off ring are the same components on both, and height and weight match too. The Lounge is therefore the choice for solo and two-person rounds, the Squad for sessions of four — neither smokes better or worse than the other.
Within the Lounge series, the three configurations only differ by the bowl: Clear Bowl and Frosted Bowl come with a glass bowl and then measure approx. 52 cm at approx. 4.1 kg, with clear and frosted glass differing purely visually. This smoke column set comes without a bowl, weighs approx. 2.2 kg and measures approx. 49 cm — you decide the remaining 3 cm and the glass look yourself.
Perfect accessories for your Varity
- Bowls – this is where you start, because without a bowl the Varity doesn't work. Both push-fit and screw bowls are an option.
- Hoses – for the one connection of the Lounge Base.
- Mouthpieces – personal mouthpiece instead of passing it around.
- Phunnel tobacco heads – sit with the head seal on top of the smoke column.
- Natural charcoal – on the 19 cm plate you have room to set them down.
Who is this Varity suitable for?
This set is aimed at anyone who already has an opinion on the glass: if you want to run a specific bowl, have a spare bowl left over from another shisha, or don't want to be told push-fit or screw bowl, you only buy the hardware here and add the rest yourself. With 1 hose connection, the Lounge is built for solo sessions and rounds of two.
If, on the other hand, you want to get started right away and don't yet own a bowl, you're better served by the Clear or Frosted variant — those come with the matching glass bowl included. And if you regularly smoke as a group of four, take a look at the Squad Base with its 4 connections.
Care & construction
Because the smoke column and dip tube are separable, you can reach all interior surfaces when cleaning — that's the practical side effect of the design. You clean stainless steel parts with warm water and a brush; it's best to avoid abrasive or aggressive cleaners, especially for the acrylic/epoxy resin sleeve and the black coating. Then let everything dry thoroughly before reassembling.
The included seals are wear parts: if they eventually stop sitting tight or the setup starts leaking, you replace them. During assembly you check that each seal sits cleanly before connecting the bowl — for a push-fit bowl you'll need the matching push-fit bowl adapter for that, which is not part of the scope of delivery.

Which bowl do I additionally need for the smoke column set?
A glass bowl isn't included in this configuration, so you'll need to buy one separately. According to Moze, the Varity is designed for both push-fit and screw bowls, so you're free in your choice — you'll find matching models at hookahx.de/bowls/. For a push-fit bowl you'll additionally need the push-fit bowl adapter, which Moze offers separately; Moze designs its models to fit the standard 45 mm push-fit bowls.
How big and how heavy is the set without bowl?
Without a bowl, the setup measures approx. 49 cm and weighs approx. 2.2 kg. Inside, the dip tube measures 12 mm and the smoke column 11 mm, the charcoal plate is 19 cm. As soon as you place a bowl on top, the finished shisha exceeds 50 cm — which is why we list the set in the large size class. The 49 cm are explicitly the measurement of the smoke column without glass.
What is included in the scope of delivery?
How do I adjust the draw resistance of the Varity?
Both the dip tube and the smoke column are splittable, so you change the setup yourself and thereby determine how your Varity feels. Moze describes the range as a more direct draw on one side and a softer pull on the other, but doesn't assign a specific result to any particular setup. In practice that means: you try out the combinations and stick with the one that suits you.
How is the blow-off handled on the Varity?
On the Varity, the blow-off isn't a fixed built-in detail but its own blow-off ring, which Moze also sells separately. Depending on the setup it can be placed in two positions — above under the charcoal plate or below on the base. Moze doesn't specify what technical effect either position has, so we won't claim anything here.
What sets the Lounge apart from the Squad?
Only the base: the Lounge has 1 hose connection, the Squad 4. Smoke column, dip tube, diffuser, charcoal plate, blow-off ring, dimensions and weight are identical on both. So the Lounge is designed for solo and two-person sessions, the Squad for bigger groups — smoke-wise there's no difference.
What is the diffuser on the dip tube for?
The diffuser sits at the bottom end of the dip tube and makes the draw quieter and smoother. On the Varity it's a standalone component and can be swapped out if you want a different smoke sound.
Is this Varity suitable for beginners?
Basically yes, but with one caveat: since no bowl is included, you'll need to sort out a bowl, hose, mouthpiece, tobacco head and charcoal yourself before the first session. If you don't have any of that at home yet, you'll have an easier time with the Clear or Frosted variant, since the bowl is already included there. Operation itself is straightforward — only the initial assembly takes a bit of research.
How do I clean the shisha properly?
Smoke column and dip tube can be separated, which lets you reach all inner surfaces with warm water and a brush. It's better to avoid abrasive or aggressive cleaners, especially on the acrylic/epoxy resin sleeve and the black coating. Afterward let everything dry well and check the seals for proper fit.
