Moze Varity Lounge Silver – Smoke Column Set – Wavy Mint

With the smoke column set, the glass bowl is deliberately left out: you get the complete Moze Varity Lounge Silver with base, dip tube, smoke column and charcoal plate and pick out the bowl yourself. Because the Varity accepts both push-fit and screw bowls, you're not tied to any bowl type and can keep using a piece of glass you already own.

The Lounge base has one hose connection and is therefore designed for sessions alone or with two people. Without the bowl, the setup stands approx. 49 cm tall and weighs approx. 2.2 kg; it's built from stainless steel and the acrylic/epoxy resin sleeve in Wavy Mint. Besides the shisha, the box contains the charcoal plate and the seals.

Design & finish: Wavy Mint on silver stainless steel

Wavy Mint is a light, slightly milky mint green that runs through the cast resin as a wave along the length of the sleeve – not a smooth, solid area, but a texture where the color sits with varying density. Because each sleeve is cast individually, the wave pattern turns out a little different from piece to piece.

Above and below the sleeve, stainless steel remains visible in natural silver: base, charcoal plate and the end pieces of the smoke column are uncoated and give the mint green a cool frame. The blow-off ring is a standalone component and therefore replaceable later, without you having to replace the shisha.

Individually adjustable draw

The core of the Varity: dip tube and smoke column are both separable. Moze puts it this way: you decide for yourself how your Varity feels while smoking, and names a range from a more direct draw to a softer pull. Which build gives you which result, Moze deliberately doesn't specify – you find that out by rebuilding it.

The series is designed as a modular system: smoke column, dip tube, sleeve, charcoal plate, diffuser and blow-off ring are standalone parts that Moze also carries individually, plus extension segments that let you lengthen the smoke column and use a long sleeve. The diffuser sits at the lower end of the dip tube and makes the draw quieter and gentler; it too is replaceable. The blow-off is designed as a separate ring with a ball valve and can be installed in two positions, up under the charcoal plate or down on the base.

Lounge or Squad? The comparison

Lounge and Squad differ in exactly one component: the base. The Lounge base carries one hose connection, the Squad base four. Smoke column, dip tube, diffuser, charcoal plate and blow-off ring are identical on both, height and weight likewise. The Squad is thus built for rounds with several people, the Lounge for sessions alone or as a pair – unused connections are simply sealed off on the Squad, that's normal operation.

Within the Lounge there are three configurations: with a Clear Bowl made of clear glass, with a Frosted Bowl made of satin glass, and as a smoke column set without a bowl. Clear and Frosted differ only in the glass look; both measure approx. 52 cm with bowl and weigh approx. 4.1 kg. This smoke column set comes in at approx. 49 cm and approx. 2.2 kg because the glass is missing – in exchange, you choose it yourself.

Who is this Varity suitable for?

The smoke column set is the right fit if you smoke alone or with one other person and want to choose the bowl yourself – for instance because you already own a push-fit or screw bowl that should keep going. It also makes sense as a second setup alongside an existing shisha, since you won't buy the glass twice.

If you expect a fully packaged set that already includes the bowl, go for the Varity Lounge with Clear or Frosted Bowl instead. And if you regularly smoke as a group of four, you're better off with the Squad Base and its four connections.

Care & construction

The smoke column and dip tube can be taken apart and are therefore easy to clean: warm water, a cleaning brush of suitable strength, then let all parts dry completely before reassembling them. The acrylic/epoxy resin sleeve and the stainless steel surfaces don't tolerate abrasive pastes or aggressive cleaners – a soft, damp cloth is enough on the outside.

Check the seals from time to time: if they're hard or cracked, replace them before the setup starts leaking. When assembling, only hand-tighten the bowl and align the charcoal plate so it sits flush on the smoke column.
