Design & Finish: Wavy Mint on Black

Squad Base, fittings and the 19 cm charcoal plate stay black and frame the sleeve top and bottom. The clear bowl adds a third layer: through the transparent glass you can see the water level and dip tube, while the sleeve color sits above it. Individually adjustable draw
The Varity is built for modification. Moze writes: "Because both the dip tube and the smoke column are individually splittable, you decide for yourself how your Varity feels when you smoke it." A range is stated between a more direct draw and a softer pull – the manufacturer doesn't specify which combination lands where, so we won't prescribe it to you either.
In practice you can try this out in just a few minutes: rebuild, draw, compare, keep the result you want. In addition, the blow-off sits as its own ring in the setup and can be installed in two positions, either up under the charcoal plate or down at the base. The interchangeable diffuser at the end of the dip tube gives you a quieter, softer draw. Moze offers sleeve, smoke column, dip tube, charcoal plate, diffuser and blow-off ring individually, and for column and dip tube there are additional extension segments; they are not included in the scope of delivery of this shisha.

Squad or Lounge? The comparison
The only difference between the models lies in the base: 4 hose connections on the Squad, 1 on the Lounge. Smoke column, dip tube, diffuser, charcoal plate and blow-off ring are identical on both, as are height and weight. If fewer than four hoses are in use on the Squad, the remaining connections are simply sealed.
Within the Squad you choose between three configurations: Clear Bowl with clear glass as in this listing, Frosted Bowl with satin-finish glass at identical bowl dimensions, and the smoke column set, which is supplied without a bowl and is stated at approx. 49 cm and approx. 2.2 kg.

In terms of color, Wavy Mint is the choice for anyone who wants a visible color without the shisha becoming the loudest object in the room. And if you like fine-tuning the setup, use the divisible smoke column and divisible dip tube for what they are: a building-block system.
Care & construction
The same applies to all parts after smoking: warm water, a suitable brush, no aggressive or abrasive cleaners. The resin sleeve in Mint and the black coating react sensitively to abrasives and hard sponges, so it stays with gentle cleaning throughout. Afterwards, let everything dry thoroughly and check the seals for cracks from time to time.
Assembly goes from bottom to top: fill the bowl, screw on the smoke column with the dip tube inserted, place the charcoal plate on top, fit the blow-off ring in the desired position and attach the hose connections. Cap any unused connections, then take a test draw and check the fit of the seals.

Does the Varity Squad fit my existing push-fit bowl?
Moze legt die Varity ausdrücklich für Steck- und Schraubbowls aus. Markenweit gibt Moze an, seine Modelle auf die üblichen 45-mm-Steckbowls auszulegen. Die beiliegende klare Bowl selbst wird geschraubt.
What are the dimensions of the Varity Squad Wavy Mint?
With the bowl attached it stands at approx. 52 cm and weighs approx. 4.1 kg. Inside, the dip tube measures 12 mm, the smoke column 11 mm, and the charcoal plate 19 cm in diameter. The clear bowl is 26.5 cm tall, 21.5 cm at its widest point, and has a neck opening of 4.2 cm, 7 cm with the adapter.
What comes with the shisha?
In the box you'll find the shisha with smoke column, dip tube, Squad Base and charcoal plate, as well as the clear glass bowl and the seals. Hose, mouthpiece, tobacco head, charcoal, charcoal tongs and HMD are not included and are purchased separately. Spare parts such as an extra diffuser or extension segments are also not part of the scope of delivery.
How do I change the draw on the Varity?
About the setup: both the dip tube and the smoke column can be split and combined in different ways. Moze describes the range as a direct pull or softer draw, but doesn't say which combination produces which behavior. You try that out on your own setup and keep the combination that suits you best.
What do the blow-off ring and diffuser do?
The blow-off is designed as its own ring and, depending on the setup, can be installed in two positions, either up under the charcoal plate or down at the base. The valve holds balls with 7 mm in the base and 11 mm in the hose adapter. The diffuser at the lower end of the dip tube is replaceable and makes the draw quieter and smoother.
Squad oder Lounge – was ist für mich sinnvoller?
The Squad Base has 4 hose connections, the Lounge Base has one; otherwise the two models are identical in build, right down to height and weight. If you mostly smoke with three or four people, the Squad saves you from passing it around. If you mostly smoke alone or with one other person, the Lounge is enough, and on the Squad you can close off any unused connections anyway.
Is it a good first shisha of your own?
Yes, it can be assembled and operated without any prior knowledge. If you want to make use of the divisibility of the smoke column and dip tube, though, you should bring some willingness to experiment, since Moze doesn't give a ready-made recommendation. As a beginner, also plan for a hose, tobacco head, attachment and charcoal, which aren't included.
How do I care for stainless steel, glass and the resin sleeve?
Warm water and a suitably sized brush handle most of the work on the bowl, column and dip tube. Aggressive or abrasive cleaners are off-limits, as they can attack the surface of the mint sleeve and the black coating. Afterward let everything dry thoroughly so no residual water collects, and check the seals regularly.
Does Wavy Mint differ technically from the other sleeve colors?
No. Wavy Mint, Wavy Blue, Wavy Frosted, Wavy Pink and Wavy Yellow are all made of acrylic/epoxy resin with a wave structure and differ only in color. Black Steel comes entirely without a colored sleeve, Original Black uses black POM as its material.
