The Vandenberg V1 Phunnel has quickly achieved legendary status in the shisha community, and not without reason. With a combination of precision craftsmanship and modern manufacturing technology, this head represents a perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics.
The Vandenberg V1 Phunnel is handcrafted in Germany from high-quality clay (handmade does not mean hand-formed on a pottery bowl) and fired at extremely high temperatures of 1300 degrees Celsius. This high firing temperature ensures that the head is particularly robust and durable. The dense structure of the clay and the carefully applied glaze prevent molasses from oozing, a phenomenon often referred to as “bleeding.” This keeps the bowl clean and ensures a consistent smoking experience.
One of the outstanding aspects of the Vandenberg V1 Phunnel is the variety of glazes available, which are not only visually impressive,
but also influence the smoking experience. Matte glazes such as “Graphite” or “Gold Antique” retain heat longer and release it more slowly into the tobacco. This allows for a longer shisha session and more even heat distribution, ideal for tobacco types that require constant heat. Shiny glazes like “Midnight blue" or "Mirror effect", on the other hand, release heat more quickly, which can result in denser smoke, but carries the risk of overheated tobacco if it is sensitive to heat.
The phunnel is equipped with a central single hole design that ensures that molasses does not enter the shaft of the shisha. This design is particularly beneficial for moist tobacco lovers as it makes the smoke easier to pull through and prevents the molasses from affecting performance. The V1 Phunnel can hold between 15 and 18 grams of tobacco, making it suitable for both short and long sessions.
The Vandenberg V1 Phunnel is versatile and fits all common Heat Management Devices (HMDs), such as Kaloud Lotus or the ONMO HMD, which are also in ours HookahX Hookah Shop are available. This combination allows optimal control of the heat, which is particularly important to enjoy the full aroma of the tobacco.
Each Vandenberg V1 Phunnel is delivered in an elegant wooden box that not only protects it, but also gives a high-quality impression. This box can later be used to store accessories such as seals and mouthpieces. The limited availability and the careful craftsmanship make the V1 Phunnel a collector's item that should not be missing from any shisha collection.
