Moze Varity Squad Silver – Frosted Bowl – Wavy Pink Shisha

Anyone who wants to decide not just the color but also the setup itself with a shisha ends up with the Varity: Moze subordinated every feature of this model to customizability. This version carries the Wavy Pink sleeve on the Silver Base and comes with the frosted Frosted Bowl.

The Squad Base brings four hose connections – it's the only component in which the Squad and Lounge differ. Assembled, the shisha stands at about 52 cm and weighs in at about 4.1 kg; stainless steel, glass and acrylic/epoxy resin are used. The box contains shisha, bowl and seals.

Design & finish: Wavy Pink on Silver Base

The sleeve is cast from acrylic/epoxy resin and shows the wave structure of the Wavy series, which breaks the pink up into lighter and darker bands. Because the base, charcoal plate and exposed metal parts stay in the natural silver of the stainless steel, the color stands alone on the smoke column – without a second tone working against it.

The Frosted Bowl is satin instead of clear. The difference from the Clear Bowl is purely in the glass look: both bowls are the same size. The glass is thick-walled, measures 21.5 cm at its widest point at 26.5 cm height, and tapers from a wide body into a very long, narrow neck. The neck opening is 4.2 cm in diameter, 7 cm with the adapter.

Individually adjustable draw

The key point of the Varity: both the dip tube and the smoke column can be split. Moze puts it as you deciding for yourself how your Varity feels when you smoke it – the range spans from a more direct draw to a softer pull. Moze deliberately doesn't specify which setup gives which result; you'll figure that out yourself in a session or two.

On top of that, the smoke column, dip tube, sleeve, charcoal plate, diffuser and blow-off ring are independent components that Moze also sells individually. Extension segments are additionally available for the smoke column and dip tube, letting you lengthen the column and use a long sleeve. These parts aren't included in the scope of delivery – what matters is that the Varity is built for them.

Squad or Lounge? The comparison

Squad and Lounge differ only in the base: four connections here, one on the Lounge. Smoke column, dip tube, diffuser, charcoal plate and blow-off ring are the same parts on both, as are the dimensions and weight. The idea that a multi-hose shisha fundamentally smokes worse is a persistent rumor – unused connections are simply sealed off.

Within the Squad range you have three configurations: Frosted Bowl (satin-finished glass, this variant), Clear Bowl (clear glass, otherwise identical) and the smoke column set without a bowl at approx. 49 cm and approx. 2.2 kg. Only take the set if you already have your own bowl or want to choose freely.

Who is this Varity suitable for?

This version suits you if you smoke with several people: four connections means nobody has to pass the hose around. And if you enjoy tinkering with the setup instead of settling for a fixed configuration, the divisibility of the dip tube and smoke column is exactly the argument for it.

If you deliberately want a colored shisha and like Pink as the only accent on silver stainless steel, this is the right choice. If you need something more understated, go for Silver Steel or Original Black within the same series.

Care & construction

You rinse smoke column, dip tube and bowl with warm water and a brush after the session, the dip tube best with a narrow brush matching the 12 mm inner diameter. Aggressive or abrasive agents don't belong on the stainless steel, the resin sleeve or the glass.

Afterwards, let all parts drain and dry well before putting them back together – standing residual water is the most common cause of a musty smell. Check the seals from time to time for cracks and hardening and replace them if needed; they are wear parts.

Small inclusions (for example air) in the bowl's glass can't be ruled out with handmade production and are not grounds for a complaint. The same applies to slight color deviations from the product image as well as to differences in the height of the bowl base.
