Four hose connections, colored resin sleeve, no glass bowl: with the Moze Varity Squad Silver smoke column set in Wavy Pink you buy the smoke column together with the Squad Base and choose the glass separately – push-fit bowl or screw bowl, both fit. The sleeve shows a warm rosé pink with a wave pattern on silver stainless steel. Without bowl, the setup reaches approx. 49 cm height at approx. 2.2 kg. Via the splittable smoke column and the splittable dip tube you determine the draw resistance yourself. Suitable for groups in which several people smoke at the same time.

With the Moze Varity Squad Silver smoke column set in Wavy Pink, the purchase decision comes in two parts: here you get the finished smoke column on the Squad base with its four hose connections, and you choose the bowl yourself afterward. Because the Varity is designed for both push-fit and screw bowls, this choice doesn't limit you.

Measured without the bowl, the setup stands at approx. 49 cm and approx. 2.2 kg. The frame is made of stainless steel, plus the sleeve made of acrylic/epoxy resin in rosé pink; glass is not part of this configuration. Inside it's 12 mm in the dip tube and 11 mm in the smoke column, the charcoal plate measures 19 cm. Included are smoke column, charcoal plate and seals.

Design & craftsmanship: Wavy Pink on Silver

The rose pink doesn't sit as an opaque layer of lacquer, but is embedded in the acrylic/epoxy resin of the sleeve and runs there in waves – sometimes denser, sometimes more translucent. Against the cool natural-silver look of the Squad Base, charcoal plate and fittings, the warm tone stands out clearly, without a second bright color competing against it.

Instead of a permanently built-in pressure relief valve, Moze uses a separate blow-off ring on the Varity. The product photos show it in two places in the setup, once up top under the charcoal plate and once down at the base. The diffuser, charcoal plate and sleeve are likewise standalone components of the series and can be swapped.

Individually adjustable draw

The real trick of the Varity isn't in the color but in the separability: Moze writes that thanks to the separable dip tube and separable smoke column, you decide for yourself how your Varity feels while smoking. The stated range is between a more direct draw and a softer pull.

Which setup gets you where is deliberately left open by Moze. You combine the segments, tighten, and rearrange – in a few minutes and without tools. The diffuser at the lower end of the dip tube also gives a quieter, gentler draw and can itself be swapped.

Six more sleeves are available for the same set. Technology, dimensions and scope of delivery stay the same, only the look changes:

Squad or Lounge? The comparison

The only difference lies in the base. Squad comes with 4 hose connections, Lounge with one; smoke column, dip tube, diffuser, blow-off ring, and charcoal plate are the same parts on both, as are the dimensions and weight. More connections doesn't mean worse smoking – Squad is built for groups, Lounge for one or two people.

And within the Squad family, you choose between the complete versions with Clear Bowl or Frosted Bowl – both approx. 52 cm tall, approx. 4.1 kg, and including glass – and this smoke column set at approx. 49 cm and approx. 2.2 kg without a bowl. Nothing separates Clear and Frosted except the glass look: clear or satin-finished.

Perfect accessories for your Varity

  • Bowls – the set doesn't run without a bowl; push-fit and screw bowls both fit.
  • Hoses – up to four can be connected at the same time.
  • Mouthpieces – the obvious choice for larger groups.
  • Phunnel tobacco heads – a tobacco head is not part of the scope of delivery.
  • Attachments & HMDs – for managing the charcoal above the head.

Who is this Varity suitable for?

The set is aimed at everyone who already knows which bowl they want – or owns several and swaps depending on the evening. Since both push-fit and screw bowls fit, you can keep using glass you already have instead of buying it twice.

The Squad Base's four connections clearly target sessions with friends; for a solo evening the Lounge Base is the better choice. And if you transport the setup often, you'll benefit from the roughly 2.2 kg without the bowl - the glass travels separately and protected.

Care & construction

After the session you rinse smoke column and dip tube with warm water and go over them with a cleaning brush; otherwise, at 11 mm in the smoke column and 12 mm in the dip tube, a film builds up over time. Abrasives and aggressive cleaners are out – they attack the resin sleeve and leave marks on the stainless steel.

When reassembling, a quick check of the seals is worthwhile: seated correctly and undamaged, they keep the setup airtight. Let all parts dry beforehand, clean the charcoal plate separately.

That's why this Varity is the right choice

  • Bowl freely selectable – the Varity accepts push-fit and screw bowls.
  • Squad Base with 4 hose connections for group sessions.
  • Separable dip tube and separable smoke column: the draw resistance comes from your setup.
  • Blow-off as a separate ring with two possible mounting positions.
  • Replaceable diffuser at the lower end of the dip tube for a quieter, gentler draw.
  • Approx. 49 cm without bowl, approx. 2.2 kg – with bowl over 50 cm total height.
  • Rose pink in the acrylic/epoxy resin sleeve, combined with stainless steel in natural silver.

Which bowls can I combine with this smoke column set?

Both push-in and screw-on bowls can be used, the Varity is designed for both types. Moze specifies the usual 45 mm push-in bowls for its models, which go on directly, and offers its own adapter for screw-on bowls, sold separately and not included. You'll find a selection at hookahx.de/bowls/.

Why is no bowl included with this set?

Because that's exactly the purpose of this configuration: you buy the smoke column with charcoal plate and seals and choose the glass yourself. Anyone who already owns bowls or prefers a certain shape doesn't have to pay for an included bowl this way.

What are the dimensions of the smoke column?

Without the bowl it's approx. 49 cm tall at approx. 2.2 kg. The dip tube has a 12 mm inner diameter, the smoke column 11 mm, and the charcoal plate 19 cm. With the bowl attached, the finished shisha comes to over 50 cm.

How do I change the draw on the Varity?

Dip tube and smoke column are individually divisible, so you can vary the setup. Moze describes the range as a more direct pull or a softer draw, but doesn't assign a specific result to any combination – you test the variants yourself.

How is the blow-off designed?

As a standalone blow-off ring, not as a permanently installed valve. It works with balls, 7 mm in the base and 11 mm in the hose adapter, and according to the product photos can be placed in two spots in the setup: above under the charcoal plate or below on the base.

Squad or Lounge – which one is right for me?

The Squad Base has 4 hose connections, the Lounge Base has one; otherwise the models are identical in construction, including dimensions and weight. If you mostly smoke in a group, take Squad; if you sit alone or with one other person, Lounge is completely sufficient.

Do I have to use all four connections?

No. Connections you don't need are sealed off during use – that's normal for multi-hose shishas and not a drawback. Hoses, mouthpieces, tobacco head, charcoal, charcoal tongs and HMD are not included in the scope of delivery anyway and come separately.

Is the set suitable as your first own shisha?

Only with a caveat: besides the bowl, you also need to put together the hose, head, charcoal and tongs yourself. Beginners who want to get started right away are better off with the Varity Squad with Clear or Frosted Bowl; if you already have accessories at home, you save on double purchases with the smoke column set.

How do I clean the Wavy Pink Sleeve?

On the outside, warm water and a soft cloth are enough; on the inside, work with the cleaning brush. Abrasive or aggressive cleaners are off-limits, because they can make the acrylic/epoxy resin go dull. Afterwards, let everything dry well and check the seals.
