Moze Varity Squad Silver – Smoke Column Set – Wavy Frosted

Among the Wavy versions, Frosted is the quietest: the same wave structure in the acrylic/epoxy resin sleeve, but in a light, milky-looking tone instead of a bold color statement. Important for clarity – “Frosted” here refers to the sleeve on the smoke column. A satin-finished glass bowl belongs to the complete Frosted Bowl variant and is not included with this smoke column set.

That's exactly the reason to buy it: with no glass included, you choose the bowl yourself, and Moze explicitly designs the Varity for both types – "whether push-fit or screw bowl". Design & craftsmanship: Wavy Frosted on the Silver Base

The Frosted sleeve absorbs the light instead of reflecting it: the vertical wave structure stays visible, but comes across noticeably calmer in the light, milky resin than on the boldly colored Wavy variants. Together with the silver Squad Base and the stainless steel charcoal plate, that results in a light shisha that gets by without a strong color contrast.

On the Varity, the sleeve is a separate component that sits on top of the smoke column – the technology underneath doesn't differ between any color variant. Moze offers sleeves in Short and Long; which length fits depends on whether the smoke column has been extended with an extension segment.

Individually adjustable draw

The feature Moze hangs the whole series on reads, verbatim: "Because both the dip tube and the smoke column can be split individually, you decide for yourself how your Varity feels when smoking." As the range, the manufacturer names a direct pull or a softer draw – without specifying which setup leads where.

Specifically, you have two separable components available: the dip tube with a 12 mm inner diameter and the smoke column with 11 mm. Both are complemented by the swappable diffuser at the lower end of the dip tube, which makes the draw quieter and smoother, and by the blow-off ring, which can be mounted in two installation positions.

Squad or Lounge? The comparison

The difference is limited to the base: four hose connections on the Squad, one on the Lounge. Smoke column, dip tube, diffuser, charcoal plate and blow-off ring come from the same parts kit on both models, height and weight are the same. Multiple hoses don't make the session worse – free connections are sealed, that's part of normal operation.

That leaves the question of configuration: alongside the smoke column set, there's the Squad with clear glass bowl and with satin-finished Frosted bowl. Both complete shishas measure approx. 52 cm and weigh approx. 4.1 kg; their only difference lies in the glass finish. The smoke column set at approx. 49 cm without bowl and approx. 2.2 kg is the variant with no bowl included.

Who is this Varity suitable for?

Wavy Frosted appeals to those who like texture without color: the light sleeve stands out only subtly from the silver stainless steel parts and still works even when the bowl later turns out bold. Because the set comes without glass, you can plan exactly around that.

The four connections make it a shisha for groups where several people smoke at the same time – used solo, three connections stay closed. For anyone expecting a ready-equipped package, a version with a bowl included is the more direct route.

Care & construction

Assembly starts with putting together the downstem and stem, followed by checking the seals and mounting the bowl: push-in bowl directly, screw-on bowl via the matching adapter. Finally, unused ports are closed and the charcoal tray is put on.

Cleaning is done with warm water and a brush for the smoke column. Aggressive or abrasive cleaners have no place on the resin sleeve or the stainless steel, as they make the surfaces go dull. Dry all parts thoroughly before reassembling and replace brittle seals. When disassembling, take a look at the balls of the blow-off valve – 7 mm in the base, 11 mm in the hose adapter.
