Lounge or Squad? The comparison
The difference lies solely in the base piece. The Lounge base has one hose connection, the Squad base four; smoke column, dip tube, diffuser, charcoal plate and blow-off ring are identical on both, as are height and weight. More connections don't mean better smoking, just more seats in the round; unused connections are closed off on the Squad.
For the configuration you can choose between Clear Bowl, Frosted Bowl and smoke column set. Clear and Frosted are identical in size, the only difference is whether the glass is clear or satin. Who is this Varity suitable for?
If the black versions feel too understated for you, Wavy Blue is the counterpoint: the resin sleeve adds a clear color accent at the level of the smoke column, without making the shisha look colorful, since the base, plate and bowl stay neutral. The lounge base's single hose connection suits sessions alone or for two.
It's less suited for larger groups where several people want to pull at the same time – that's where the Squad base with four connections plays its role. Care & construction
To assemble, screw the bowl onto the adapter, check the seals, place the charcoal plate on top and connect the hose. If you've separated the dip tube or smoke column, make sure the segments are seated firmly before the session.
When cleaning, the resin sleeve gets the gentlest treatment: only warm water and a soft cloth, no abrasive pastes and no aggressive cleaners, so the resin surface doesn't go dull. Run a suitable brush through the smoke column and dip tube, rinse the glass bowl separately, and let all parts air-dry openly. Check seals occasionally for cracks and replace them if needed.

Which bowls can I use on the Varity Lounge Wavy Blue?
Both common types: according to Moze, the Varity is designed for “no matter whether push-fit or screw bowl”. Included is the clear Moze Varity Bowl, which is attached as a screw bowl via the adapter. If you want to run a push-fit bowl later, you'll need the separately available push-fit bowl adapter from Moze; the brand designs its models for the common 45 mm push-fit bowls.
What are the dimensions and weight?
With the bowl fitted, the shisha comes to about 52 cm and about 4.1 kg, putting it in the Large size class (over 50 cm). How do I change the draw on the Varity?
On the topic of divisibility: the dip tube and smoke column can be taken apart and reassembled at a different length, letting you set the build yourself. Moze describes the result as a range between a more direct draw and a softer pull, without assigning a specific setup to a specific feel. So test several variants instead of relying on a rule of thumb.
How is the blow-off designed?
As a standalone blow-off ring, which Moze also sells separately and which can therefore be swapped out. Balls sit inside the valve, 7 mm in the base and 11 mm in the hose adapter, so excess pressure can escape from the hose to the outside. Depending on the build, the ring can be fitted either above under the charcoal plate or below on the base.
Lounge, Squad or another configuration – how do I decide?
The Lounge Base has one hose connection, the Squad Base four; all other components as well as height and weight are the same, so it only comes down to round size. In the bowl configuration, Clear and Frosted differ only in the glass look, clear versus frosted. Is this a good shisha for getting started?
In everyday use, yes, because in the basic setup it works like any other single-hose shisha and is quickly put together. The splittable segments are an extra that you only need to use once you want to get into it. But keep the size and weight in mind: approx. 52 cm and approx. 4.1 kg need a stable surface and a bit of storage space.
How do I clean the blue resin sleeve?
Only with warm water and a soft cloth, without abrasives and without aggressive cleaners – the resin sleeve is the most sensitive surface on this shisha. You clean the metal parts and bowl separately with a brush or dish water and let everything dry thoroughly. While you're at it, check the seals, as they are wear parts.
Can I swap the sleeve for a different color later?
On the Varity, the sleeve is an independent component that Moze also offers individually, in the Short and Long lengths. A switch to a different version is therefore fundamentally intended; for the long sleeves, Moze additionally provides extension segments for the smoke column. These individual parts are not included in the scope of delivery of this shisha.
