Moze Varity Lounge Black – Clear Bowl – Original Black Shisha

Original Black is the Varity version where a black POM sleeve is fitted over the stainless steel smoke column. This keeps it solid black, but unlike the Black Steel version it retains the sleeve as its own component – while also skipping the wave pattern of the Wavy models.

It connects via the Lounge Base with one hose connection. Assembled, the shisha measures approx. 52 cm, weighs approx. 4.1 kg and thus belongs to the Large size class (over 50 cm). It ships with charcoal plate, the clear glass bowl and the seals; material-wise, stainless steel, POM and glass meet here.

Design & craftsmanship: Original Black on black Lounge base

POM is a technical plastic with a matte, even surface. The sleeve therefore creates a different level of shine next to the coated stainless steel of the base and charcoal plate: same color, different gloss. If you want black without the shisha looking completely uniform, this hits the middle ground between Black Steel and the colored Wavy sleeves.

The bowl provides the only material contrast. The clear, thick-walled glass is 26.5 cm tall, 21.5 cm at its widest point, and tapers into a very long, narrow neck with a 4.2 cm inner opening, 7 cm with the adapter.

Individually adjustable draw

The sentence Moze uses to explain the whole series is: „Because both the dip tube and the smoke column can be split apart individually, you decide for yourself how your Varity feels while smoking.“ In practice that means: you take the two components apart and put them back together at a different length. As the range, Moze states a more direct pull or a softer draw.

Moze doesn't publish any mapping of which setup creates which feel – and we're not claiming one here either. The inner dimensions don't change in the process: 12 mm in the dip tube, 11 mm in the smoke column. Since Moze treats the column, dip tube, sleeve, charcoal plate, diffuser and blow-off ring as individual parts, the setup can still be changed later on; extension segments are additionally available for the column and dip tube.

Lounge or Squad? The comparison

Both models share the smoke column, dip tube, diffuser, charcoal plate and blow-off ring; height and weight are the same too. Only the bottom piece is swapped: Lounge base with one connection, Squad base with four. There's no quality difference in that – the Squad is meant for groups of several, the Lounge for you alone or as a pair. Unused connections on the Squad are simply capped during use.

In the configuration you choose between Clear Bowl, Frosted Bowl, and smoke column set. Clear and Frosted are the same size and differ only in whether the glass is clear or satin-finished. The smoke column set doesn't include a bowl; it therefore measures approx. 49 cm without the bowl and weighs approx. 2.2 kg.

Perfect accessories for your Varity

To complete the session, you still need the consumables and add-on parts:

• Hoses – one is enough, the Lounge Base has exactly one connection.
• Phunnel tobacco heads – default choice for the head attachment on the smoke column.
• Attachments & HMDs – for more even heat management over the session.
• Shisha tobacco – the range for filling the head.
• Replacement bowls – in case you want to switch to a different glass shape later.

Who is this Varity suitable for?

Original Black is the choice for a consistently dark setup where the sleeve still stays visible as its own component. If you feel like adding color later, you swap it out: Moze offers sleeves as a separate part in Short and Long. The single hose connection makes the Lounge a shisha for quiet evenings with two or on your own.

It's not ideal if you often smoke as a group of four – in that case, go for the Squad Base. And if you're very tight on space, take the dimensions seriously: approx. 52 cm assembled, approx. 4.1 kg, plus a bowl with a largest diameter of 21.5 cm.

Care & construction

When assembling, screw the bowl onto the adapter, check that all seals sit correctly, put on the charcoal plate and connect the hose. If you have a split dip tube or smoke column, the segments should sit firmly and without play before smoking.

Warm water and a brush of matching diameter are enough for cleaning. Only wipe the POM sleeve and the coated stainless steel with a damp cloth, don't use abrasives or aggressive cleaners, otherwise the surface will suffer. Rinse the glass bowl separately, let all parts dry completely and check the seals for cracks from time to time.

Air bubbles and other small inclusions in the bowl glass occur during handmade production and are not grounds for a complaint. The same applies to slight color deviations from the product photo or differences in the height of the bowl base.
