Moze Varity Lounge Black – Clear Bowl – Wavy Pink Shisha

If you're looking for a shisha that won't get lost on the shelf, you'll quickly land on the pink sleeve in the Varity line. The dyed acrylic/epoxy resin with the typical wave structure sits here on the black-coated stainless steel base, with the clear glass bowl above it – color in the middle, calm framing above and below. It's the variant of the Lounge Black that sets the color accent most clearly.

The rest is pure Varity technology: a Lounge Base with one hose connection, 11 mm inner diameter in the smoke column, 12 mm in the dip tube and a charcoal plate with 19 cm. With the bowl, that adds up to approx. 52 cm height at approx. 4.1 kg weight. The scope of delivery includes the smoke column, charcoal plate, the Moze Varity Bowl Clear and the seals, made from stainless steel, glass and acrylic/epoxy resin.

Design & Finish: Wavy Pink on Black

The pink is in the material itself, not in a coat of paint: the sleeve is made of solid-color acrylic/epoxy resin, and the wave structure of the Wavy range runs around it as a relief, so the shade appears at different depths depending on the light. Together with the black base, this creates a clear two-tone look, while the clear glass of the bowl stays deliberately neutral.

Everything is carried by the stainless steel underneath: base, smoke column and dip tube are metal, the sleeve wraps around it as a shell. And because it's a single component in the Varity system, the color choice remains a decision about the shell, not about the shisha itself.

Individually adjustable draw

The Varity is the Moze model where everything has been made subordinate to customizability – and the most visible proof of that is the splittable dip tube and smoke column. Both can be taken apart and reassembled in different ways, and that's how you determine how your Varity feels when smoking. Moze spans the range from a more direct draw to a softer pull, but doesn't reveal which combination lands where. You work out that assignment yourself.

In addition, you have the diffuser at the lower end of the dip tube, which makes the draw quieter and softer and can be swapped out, as well as the blow-off ring, which has two possible positions in the setup. Moze also offers extension segments for the smoke column and dip tube, which let you lengthen the column and use it with the long sleeves. They're not part of this shisha's scope of delivery – they just make clear that the Varity is meant as a modular system.

Lounge or Squad? The comparison

Both models share the smoke column, dip tube, diffuser, charcoal plate and blow-off ring; height and weight are also the same. They're only separated by the base: one hose connection versus four. Anyone who thinks more connections make for worse smoking is falling for an old myth – unused connections on the Squad are simply capped off, nothing more happens.

At the configuration level, the Lounge offers three options: the Clear Bowl as here, the satin-finished Frosted Bowl with identical dimensions, and the smoke column set without bowl at approx. 49 cm and approx. 2.2 kg. Between Clear and Frosted, only the look decides, not the technology.

Perfect accessories for your Varity

For the shisha to become a complete session, a few parts are still missing:

• Phunnel tobacco heads – sit over the seal on the smoke column.
• Attachments & HMDs – keep the heat constant over the session.
• Natural charcoal – the charcoal plate measures 19 cm and offers a resting surface.
• Hoses – one connection, one hose.
• Replacement bowls – in case the clear glass ever needs replacing later or you want to switch to a push-fit bowl.

Who is this Varity suitable for?

The Lounge Base with its single connection sets the round size: you alone, or two of you passing the hose back and forth. For fixed groups of four, the Squad version with four connections is the more fitting model.

In terms of content, the Varity is aimed at people who want to determine their own setup – separable smoke column, separable dip tube, swappable diffuser, swappable blow-off ring, swappable plate. If tinkering doesn't interest you, you'll still get a solid stainless steel shisha, but you'll leave its core unused. The pink sleeve, in turn, is a deliberate statement: it doesn't hide, and that's exactly what it's there for.

Care & construction

Rinse the smoke column, dip tube and bowl with warm water and a brush after the session, and let all parts dry in the open before reassembling them. On the clear glass you can see residue directly, which takes the guesswork out for you.

Abrasive pastes and aggressive cleaners stay out of the picture – they attack stainless steel, glass and the resin sleeve alike and leave dull spots. When reassembling, check the seals at every joint and only tighten the screw bowl hand-tight, then the setup sits airtight.

Small inclusions, such as air bubbles, cannot be ruled out in the hand-crafted glass of the bowl and are not grounds for a complaint. The same applies to slight color deviations from the product image, as well as differences in the height of the bowl base.
