Individually adjustable draw
With the Varity, being splittable isn't a side effect, it's the design idea itself: both the dip tube and smoke column can be split apart. How your shisha ends up assembled is therefore up to you – and with it, how the draw feels. Moze outlines the range of outcomes as a more direct draw and a softer pull, without attributing a specific effect to any particular setup.
The blow-off is designed as its own ring and is therefore also part of the modular kit; depending on the setup, you place it at the top under the charcoal plate or at the bottom on the base. Balls work in the valve, 7 mm in the base and 11 mm in the hose adapter. At the lower end of the dip tube sits a replaceable diffuser that makes the draw quieter and gentler.

Lounge or Squad? The comparison
The decision is made at the base and nowhere else. Lounge means one hose connection, Squad means four. Smoke column, dip tube, diffuser, charcoal plate and blow-off ring are the same components on both, and height and weight match too. On the Squad, unused connections are capped, which is completely normal and doesn't affect operation.
That leaves the question of configuration: this variant comes with the Clear Bowl made of clear glass. The Frosted version only differs in the frosted glass, the bowl is the same size. With the smoke column set, the bowl is left out entirely – without it, it's approx. 49 cm and approx. 2.2 kg, and you choose the bowl yourself.

The Lounge Base with its one connection suits sessions at home, alone or as a pair. If your group is regularly larger, the Squad Base with four connections is the more honest choice, because nobody has to wait for a second hose there.

Care & construction
For cleaning, warm water and a brush are enough for bowl, smoke column and dip tube. Hands off abrasive cleaners and aggressive cleaning agents – they attack the resin surface of the sleeve, and especially with a bold color, every dull spot immediately stands out. Afterward let everything dry well.
Before reassembling, briefly check the seals: they determine whether the shisha draws tight, and are the most common cause of false air. Because the smoke column and dip tube are splittable, you can reach all inner surfaces when cleaning without tools.

Which bowls can I use on this Varity?
Both push-fit and screw bowls are possible, that's what the Varity is designed for. Included in delivery is the Clear Bowl, a screw bowl with a threaded adapter, 21.5 cm wide and 26.5 cm tall. For a push-fit bowl you'll additionally need the separately offered push-fit bowl adapter; Moze designs its models for standard 45 mm push-fit bowls.
Which tobacco head and which hose belong with it?

How big is the shisha when assembled?
With the bowl attached it's about 52 cm at about 4.1 kg in weight. The charcoal plate measures 19 cm in diameter, the dip tube 12 mm inside and the smoke column 11 mm inside. The bowl reaches 26.5 cm in height, 21.5 cm at its widest point and a neck opening of 4.2 cm, with adapter 7 cm.
What is included and what do I still need to buy?
Included are smoke column, charcoal plate, the Clear Bowl and the seals. Hose, mouthpiece, tobacco head, charcoal, charcoal tongs and an HMD need to be added separately. This lets you put together your setup exactly the way you're used to.
How does the adjustable draw characteristic work?
It comes from the construction, since the dip tube and smoke column are divisible. Moze describes the possible range as anywhere from a more direct draw to a softer pull, without specifying which combination produces which effect. So you test for yourself which setup suits you.
Where is the blow-off located?
The blow-off is a separate ring that you can place in two positions depending on the setup: up top under the charcoal plate, or down on the base. It's a standalone component and thus replaceable. The valve works with balls, 7 mm in the base and 11 mm in the hose adapter.

Is it a good first shisha of your own?

How do I properly care for the colored sleeve?
Rinse the inner parts with warm water and a brush, and wipe the sleeve only with a soft cloth. Abrasive agents and harsh cleaners can matte the resin surface, which is especially noticeable on Pink. Afterward let everything dry thoroughly and check the seals regularly.
