Moze Varity Squad Black – Frosted Bowl – Wavy Blue Shisha

Four people, one device, no passing around: the Squad Base of the Moze Varity takes four hoses at the same time. This version combines the black Squad Base with the Wavy Blue sleeve and is supplied together with the satin Frosted Bowl.

Fully assembled it stands at approx. 52 cm and weighs approx. 4.1 kg. Base and smoke column are stainless steel in black, the sleeve is made of acrylic/epoxy resin, the bowl of thick-walled glass. The box contains the shisha, the Frosted Bowl and the seals; hose, tobacco head and charcoal you choose yourself.

Design & Finish: Wavy Blue on Black

The Wavy Blue sleeve is a resin shell dyed blue throughout, its surface running in waves. The raised areas catch the light differently than the recesses, making the shade of blue appear differently deep depending on the viewing angle. Since the sleeve only wraps the middle section of the smoke column, the rest of the device stays in the black version and the color concentrates on a single component.

Underneath sits the Frosted Bowl made of satin-finished glass: matte instead of clear, wide in the body and tapering into a long, narrow neck. At Moze, the sleeve is a standalone part that the brand also sells separately – so the color isn't permanently tied to this device.

Individually adjustable draw

This is where the Varity differs from a fixed, permanently screwed shisha: both the dip tube and the smoke column can be split. You decide which segments your setup consists of, instead of accepting a factory default. Moze describes the range with the terms „more direct draw“ and „softer pull“; which combination gives you which feeling is deliberately left undefined by the manufacturer – you'll find that out yourself over a few sessions.

A diffuser sits at the lower end of the dip tube. It makes the draw quieter and smoother and is its own swappable component. The blow-off on the Varity is likewise not a fixed drilled hole but a ring that can be placed either up under the charcoal plate or down at the base, depending on the setup.

Squad or Lounge? The comparison

Squad and Lounge differ in exactly one component: the base. The Squad base has four hose connections, the Lounge base one. Smoke column, dip tube, diffuser, charcoal plate and blow-off ring are the same parts on both, as are height (approx. 52 cm) and weight (approx. 4.1 kg). That multiple hoses smoke worse is a stubborn rumor – unused connections are capped, that's normal operation.

With the configurations, only the glass decides: Clear Bowl and Frosted Bowl differ purely in looks – clear vs. satin-finish, with the same dimensions. The smoke column set is the same shisha without a glass bowl: approx. 49 cm without bowl, approx. 2.2 kg, bowl sold separately.

Perfect accessories for your Varity

Four connections often also mean four hoses – plan for that right away:

• Hoses – up to four pieces, if you want to use all connections.
• Mouthpieces – in a large group, everyone gets their own.
• Phunnel tobacco heads – a head is not included in the scope of delivery.
• Attachments & HMDs – for even heat management throughout the whole session.
• Natural charcoal – on the 19 cm plate there's also room for refills.

Who is this Varity suitable for?

It fits if you regularly smoke with three or four people and don't want to set up a second device for that. And it fits if you like tinkering: divisible smoke column, divisible dip tube, two blow-off positions, swappable diffuser – these are adjustments a closed shisha doesn't offer.

It works as a first shisha of your own, but it isn't a necessity: if you only ever smoke alone, you're paying for three connections that you leave sealed – in that case the Lounge base with its single connection is the more sensible choice. Also keep in mind that approx. 4.1 kg and approx. 52 cm call for a fixed spot, not for weekend luggage.

Care & construction

After the session, rinse the smoke column and dip tube through with warm water and a brush, and rinse the bowl the same way. Aggressive cleaners and abrasive sponges have no place on stainless steel, glass, or the resin sleeve – scratches in the resin can't be removed.

Let all parts dry well before assembly, otherwise residual water stays in the connections. Briefly check the seals with every setup: if they sit cleanly and haven't hardened, the unit is airtight. Join the dip tube and smoke column segments without force.

Small inclusions in the bowl glass, such as air bubbles, can't be ruled out since it's handmade and are not grounds for a claim. The same applies to slight color deviations from the product image and to differences in the height of the bowl base.
