Moze Varity Squad Black – Frosted Bowl – Wavy Yellow Shisha
A yellow resin sleeve on black-coated stainless steel: that's what the Varity Squad Black looks like as Wavy Yellow. The Squad base comes with 4 hose connections, the finished setup stands at approx. 52 cm in height and approx. 4.1 kg in weight. On top sits the Frosted Bowl made of satin-finished glass, which differs from the clear version only visually. Because the dip tube and smoke column are separable, you set the build and thus the draw resistance yourself. Suits gatherings where several people smoke at once and the shisha is allowed to stand out.
Yellow makes a statement on a shisha, and Wavy Yellow puts it right in the middle: the resin sleeve with a wave pattern sits exactly where the Varity is gripped and turned, framed by the black-coated stainless steel parts of the Squad version. Also on board is the Frosted Bowl made of satin-finished glass — compared to the Clear Bowl, only the glass look changes, nothing else.
The Squad Base delivers the connection count: 4 hoses at once. Assembled the shisha stands about 52 cm tall at about 4.1 kg, combining stainless steel, glass and acrylic/epoxy resin. The box contains shisha, bowl and seals; the list of what else you need is spelled out plainly further below.
Design & Craftsmanship: Wavy Yellow on Squad Black
The yellow isn't in a layer of paint but in the component itself: the sleeve is made of acrylic/epoxy resin, through which the typical wave structure of the Wavy series runs. On the black base it looks like a deliberately placed color block rather than a solid-colored smoke column — the rest of the silhouette stays dark and calm.
The Frosted Bowl underneath is thick-walled and matte, at 21.5 cm at its widest point with a very long, narrow neck. Also visible on the setup: the blow-off, which Moze executes on the Varity as a separate ring. As a standalone part it can be swapped and, depending on the setup, placed either up under the charcoal plate or down at the base.

Individually adjustable draw
What sets the Varity apart from a fixed, non-adjustable shisha are two separable components: the dip tube and the smoke column. Moze frames the benefit as you deciding for yourself how your Varity feels while smoking, spanning the range between a more direct pull and a softer draw. The manufacturer doesn't specify which setup delivers which result — you'll find that out on your own shisha.
At the bottom of the dip tube sits the diffuser, which makes the draw quieter and gentler; it has no effect on smoke output. The rest of the series follows the same logic: smoke column, dip tube, diffuser, sleeve, charcoal plate and blow-off ring are independent parts, and extension segments exist for the smoke column and dip tube.

Moze Varity Squad or sister model? The comparison
Squad and Lounge differ solely in the base piece: 4 hose connections here, 1 connection there. Everything above that — smoke column, dip tube, diffuser, charcoal plate, blow-off ring — is the same component, and height and weight are the same too. If you only use one hose on the Squad, you close off the remaining connections; that's normal operation.
For the configurations, you can choose between Clear Bowl, Frosted Bowl and smoke column set. Clear and Frosted are the same size and differ purely in the glass; this variant is the frosted one. The smoke column set comes without a bowl, which brings it to approx. 49 cm and approx. 2.2 kg — there you pick the glass yourself.
Perfect accessories for your Varity
- Hoses – one per occupied connection, up to four at the same time.
- Mouthpieces – each their own, especially useful for larger groups.
- Phunnel tobacco heads – not included in the scope of delivery and chosen by taste.
- Attachments & HMDs – keep the heat constant throughout the session.
- Natural charcoal – the 19 cm charcoal plate offers room for spares and tongs.
Who is this Varity suitable for?
The four connections target group sessions: if three or four people regularly smoke together, it saves the constant passing and swapping. For shishas used mostly solo, the Lounge Base with one connection is the more obvious choice.
Wavy Yellow appeals to anyone who wants a shisha that's instantly recognizable in the room — yellow on black is the strongest contrast the Wavy sleeves offer, and no compromise. Technically, the Varity pays off above all for people who enjoy tinkering with the setup and finding their own draw; if you'd never do that, you're paying for headroom you won't use.
Care & construction
The assembly is the same as for cleaning, just in reverse: smoke column and dip tube can be taken apart, so you can reach every spot with a brush and warm water. Abrasive agents and aggressive cleaners have no place on the black coating and the resin sleeve, because they make the surfaces dull.
The Frosted bowl is rinsed separately, then let all parts dry completely before reassembling them. Check the seals from time to time — porous seals are the usual reason a shisha suddenly draws as if it were clogged.
That's why this Varity is the right choice
- Squad Base with 4 hose connections for sessions with several people
- Separable dip tube and separable smoke column — the setup determines the draw resistance, and you determine the setup
- Built for push-fit and screw bowls; the Frosted Bowl in satin-finish glass is included
- Blow-off as its own, replaceable ring with two possible installation positions
- 19 cm charcoal plate and diffuser at the end of the dip tube for a quieter, gentler draw
- Wavy Yellow: yellow acrylic/epoxy resin sleeve with a wave structure on black stainless steel
Small inclusions (for example air) in the bowl's glass can't be ruled out with handmade production and are not grounds for a complaint. The same applies to slight color deviations from the product image as well as to differences in the height of the bowl base.

Does every bowl fit the Varity Squad, and which head belongs on it?
Moze designs the Varity for push-fit and screw bowls; included here is the screwed-on Frosted Bowl. For push-fit bowls, Moze sells a push-fit bowl adapter separately, and brand-wide the models are designed for the usual 45 mm push-fit bowls. The tobacco head sits on the smoke column via a head seal, both phunnel and funnel heads work equally well.
What are the dimensions of the Varity Squad with Frosted Bowl?
It's about 52 cm tall and weighs about 4.1 kg, placing it in the Large size class (over 50 cm). Inside, the dip tube measures 12 mm and the smoke column 11 mm, and the charcoal plate comes in at 19 cm in diameter. The bowl itself is 26.5 cm tall, 21.5 cm at its widest point, and has a neck opening of 4.2 cm, or 7 cm including the adapter.
What's in the box — and what else do I need to buy?
Included are the shisha with smoke column and Wavy Yellow sleeve, the 19 cm charcoal plate, the Frosted Bowl and the seals. Hose, mouthpiece, tobacco head, charcoal, charcoal tongs and HMD are not included and must be obtained separately. Moze gives no information on a second charcoal plate or a push-fit bowl adapter.
How do I change the draw on this shisha?
About the setup: the dip tube and smoke column are separable, so you can run different configurations. Moze names a range from a more direct draw to a softer pull, but explicitly doesn't assign any specific behavior to a given setup. So you test it out yourself — you won't need any spare parts for that.
How is the blow-off handled on the Varity?
As its own blow-off ring, meaning a separate component that can be swapped instead of being fixed in place. The valve works with balls, 7 mm in the base and 11 mm in the hose adapter. Depending on the setup, the ring can sit above under the charcoal plate or below on the base.
Squad with 4 connections or Lounge with 1 — which is better?
There's no better or worse here, the only difference is the base and thus the number of hose connections. All other components as well as height and weight are identical on both models. The only deciding factor is whether several people regularly smoke at the same time.
What's the difference between the Frosted Bowl, Clear Bowl and smoke column set?
Frosted and Clear are identically sized bowls and differ only in the glass look: satin versus clear. The smoke column set doesn't include a bowl at all, which is why it measures approx. 49 cm without a bowl and weighs approx. 2.2 kg. If you have a particular bowl in mind or want to run a push-fit bowl, the set is the right choice.
Is the Varity Squad suitable as a first hookah of your own?
Yes, the setup is straightforward and the number of connections doesn't limit anything. It's just important to plan for the accessories, since hose, head, charcoal, tongs and HMD are not included. The divisible smoke column can be ignored at first and discovered later as a playground.
How do I clean the sleeve, stainless steel and bowl?
Warm water and a brush are enough; the disassemblable smoke column makes cleaning the inside much easier. Avoid aggressive and abrasive cleaners, as they attack both the black coating and the resin sleeve. After rinsing, let everything dry completely and check the seals.
