Moze Varity Squad Black – Frosted Bowl – Wavy Pink Shisha
The Varity Squad Black in Wavy Pink combines a black base with four hose connections and a pink resin sleeve whose wave structure runs around the stainless steel smoke column. Included is the Frosted Bowl made of satin-finish glass — it differs from the clear version purely in looks. The setup measures about 52 cm and weighs about 4.1 kg. The real feature sits on the inside: dip tube and smoke column are divisible, you determine the setup and thus the draw resistance yourself. Made for groups of four who want color instead of standard silver on the table.
Pink on black: with the Wavy Pink, a sleeve made of acrylic/epoxy resin with a wave pattern wraps around the smoke column of the Varity Squad, while the remaining stainless steel parts stay in the black finish. Included is the Frosted Bowl made of frosted glass — the only difference from the Clear Bowl lies in this glass look, dimensions and setup are the same.
Underneath, the Squad base works with four hose connections. The complete setup measures approx. 52 cm and weighs approx. 4.1 kg; it's made of stainless steel, glass and acrylic/epoxy resin for the sleeve. The box contains the shisha, bowl and seals — what else you need is listed openly in the scope of delivery below.
Design & finish: Wavy Pink on Squad Black
The sleeve isn't a coated tube, but its own component made of acrylic/epoxy resin: the pink runs through the material in soft waves and sits as a distinct center section between the black-coated stainless steel parts. Because the sleeve is a single part within the Varity modular series, it stays a piece of styling you can swap out on your setup — Moze offers sleeves in Short and Long.
The Frosted Bowl provides visual balance without competing with the pink: thick-walled, frosted glass, wide in the body at 21.5 cm at its widest point, tapering into a long, narrow neck. The Varity's blow-off is designed as its own ring and is therefore an interchangeable component; the setups show it both up top under the charcoal plate and down at the base.

Individually adjustable draw
The core of the Varity: the dip tube and smoke column are divisible. Moze writes that this lets you decide for yourself how your Varity feels while smoking, naming a more direct draw or a softer pull as the range. The manufacturer deliberately doesn't specify which setup delivers which result — you try that out for yourself, without ordering any spare parts.
The diffuser sits at the lower end of the dip tube. It makes the draw quieter and smoother; it has nothing to do with smoke volume. Overall, the Varity is a modular kit: smoke column, dip tube, diffuser, sleeve, charcoal plate and blow-off ring are all independent components, and for the smoke column and dip tube there are also extension segments for lengthening.

Moze Varity Squad or sister model? The comparison
There's exactly one difference to the Varity Lounge, and it's in the base piece: the Squad Base has 4 hose connections, the Lounge Base has 1. Smoke column, dip tube, diffuser, charcoal plate and blow-off ring are the same parts on both, as are height and weight. Unused connections on the Squad are sealed — that's normal operation and no drawback when smoking.
Within the Squad Black there are three configurations: Clear Bowl with clear glass, Frosted Bowl with satin-finished glass (this one) and the smoke column set entirely without a bowl at approx. 49 cm and approx. 2.2 kg. Clear and Frosted are identical in size and, at Moze, use word-for-word identical bowl descriptions; the choice between them is purely visual.
Perfect accessories for your Varity
- Hoses – for one to four connections, depending on how big the round is.
- Mouthpieces – practical in mixed rounds, since everyone uses their own.
- Phunnel tobacco heads – the head is not included in the scope of delivery and is chosen separately.
- Attachments & HMDs – for consistent heat management throughout the session.
- Natural charcoal – matching the 19 cm charcoal plate with plenty of storage space.
Who is this Varity suitable for?
Four connections are the clear statement for sessions with several people: dorm nights, patio, circle of friends. If you mostly smoke alone or as a pair, you close off three connections — that works, but it's more of an argument for the Lounge Base.
In terms of color, Wavy Pink is aimed at anyone who doesn't want the tenth black-and-silver shisha on the shelf. And technically the Varity is made for people who like to tinker with the setup themselves: if you want to set your setup once and never touch it again, you simply aren't using this series' core USP.
Care & construction
The smoke column and dip tube are taken apart after the session and cleaned with warm water and a brush — the separability that determines the draw behavior makes exactly that easier. Aggressive or abrasive agents belong on neither the coated stainless steel nor the resin sleeve, because the coating and surface beneath suffer from them.
You rinse the Frosted Bowl separately; then let all parts dry well before putting them back together. Check the seals regularly for cracks and hardening — they're the most common reason a draw suddenly gets hard.
That's why this Varity is the right choice
- 4 hose connections on the Squad Base — sessions with several people without passing the hose
- Splittable dip tube and splittable smoke column: You determine the build and with it the draw resistance
- Takes push-fit and screw bowls; the Frosted Bowl made of satin-finished glass is included
- Blow-off as its own, replaceable ring, can be placed in two installation positions
- Charcoal plate with 19 cm diameter, diffuser at the end of the dip tube for a quieter draw
- Wavy Pink as a resin sleeve with a wave structure on black-coated stainless steel
Small inclusions (for example air) in the bowl's glass can't be ruled out with handmade production and are not grounds for a complaint. The same applies to slight color deviations from the product image as well as to differences in the height of the bowl base.

Which bowl, tobacco head and hose fit the Varity Squad?
The Frosted Bowl is included and screws on; in general, according to Moze the Varity is designed for both push-fit and screw bowls, and for push-fit bowls Moze offers a push-fit bowl adapter separately. The tobacco head is placed onto the smoke column via a head seal as usual, so a Phunnel fits just as well as a classic funnel head. Hoses attach to the four connections of the Squad base, unused ones are capped.
How big and how heavy is the Moze Varity Squad Frosted Bowl?
The complete setup is approx. 52 cm tall and weighs approx. 4.1 kg, which puts it in the large size class over 50 cm. The dip tube has a 12 mm inner diameter, the smoke column 11 mm, the charcoal plate measures 19 cm in diameter. The Frosted Bowl is 21.5 cm across at its widest point, 26.5 cm tall, and has a neck opening of 4.2 cm — 7 cm including the adapter.
What's included in the scope of delivery and what's still missing?
How do I adjust the draw resistance of the Varity?
Dip tube and smoke column are divisible, so you assemble the shisha in different configurations. Moze describes the range as a more direct pull or a softer draw, but doesn't assign a specific result to any particular build. In practice that means: try it out, compare, and keep the build that suits you.
How does the blow-off work on the Varity Squad?
In this series, the blow-off is designed as its own ring, so an independent, replaceable part rather than a fixed built-in valve. It works with balls — 7 mm in the base, 11 mm in the hose adapter. Depending on the setup, the ring can be placed in two positions: up under the charcoal plate or down at the base.
What sets the Squad apart from the Lounge?
The only difference is the base: Squad with 4 hose connections, Lounge with 1. Smoke column, dip tube, diffuser, charcoal plate and blow-off ring are identical on both, as are height and weight. Neither smokes better because of it — the only question is how many people are sitting at the table at once.
Frosted Bowl or Clear Bowl — which should I get?
The Frosted bowl is satin-finished, the Clear bowl is clear; otherwise both are identically sized and carry word-for-word matching descriptions at Moze. So it's purely a matter of looks, and it makes no difference to the smoking experience. If you don't want a glass bowl at all, go for the smoke column set and choose your own glass.
Is the Varity Squad suitable for beginners?
Yes, as long as you plan for the extra items needed: hose, head, charcoal, tongs and HMD come on top, which is often the surprise when getting started. The setup itself is straightforward, and you can simply leave the separable smoke column in one configuration to begin with. If you want to experiment later, the room to do so is already built into the unit.
How do I properly care for stainless steel, resin sleeve and glass bowl?
After the session, disassemble and clean with warm water plus a brush, rinse the bowl separately and let everything dry well. Skip aggressive or abrasive agents — they attack the black coating and the resin surface of the sleeve. Check the seals for cracks occasionally and replace them if needed.
