Moze Varity Squad Black – Smoke Column Set – Wavy Blue

When you buy a complete shisha, you get the glass included, whether it suits you or not. With the smoke column set of the Moze Varity Squad Black, it's different: it comes without a glass bowl, and you fit exactly the glass you want underneath it. Moze explicitly designs the Varity for both types, „egal ob Steck- oder Schraubbowl“ (either push-fit or screw bowl).

On top, this version carries the Wavy Blue sleeve made of blue acrylic/epoxy resin, with the Squad Base below having 4 hose connections. Without a bowl, the smoke column measures around 49 cm at around 2.2 kg. Included are the smoke column, charcoal plate and seals.

Design & craftsmanship: Wavy Blue on black Squad Base

The Sleeve Wavy Blue is cast from acrylic/epoxy resin and carries the wave structure that gives the series its name: not a smooth cylinder, but a dynamic surface that looks different as you turn the shisha. Underneath is black-coated stainless steel.

Blue on black is the most contrast-rich part of this combination, without getting loud: the base stays dark and calm, the color sits concentrated at eye level in the upper third of the column. If you put a clear bowl underneath, it pushes the attention even more upward to the sleeve.

Individually adjustable draw

The core of the Varity isn't the color, but the divisibility. Moze writes: „Because both the dip tube and the smoke column can be individually divided, you decide for yourself how your Varity feels when smoking.“ The range mentioned is a more direct draw or a softer pull. Which setup leads to which result is not specified by the manufacturer, and we won't specify it either – you find that out for yourself.

The series is consistently designed as a modular system: smoke column, dip tube, sleeve, charcoal plate, diffuser and blow-off ring are individual components, and for the smoke column and dip tube there are extension segments that lengthen the column and make the long sleeves usable. Such additional parts are not part of this item's scope of delivery.

Squad or Lounge? The comparison

Exactly one component separates the two Varity models: the base. Squad Base means 4 hose connections, Lounge Base means 1. Smoke column, dip tube, diffuser, charcoal plate and blow-off ring are the same parts, and dimensions and weight are the same too. So decide based on group size, not perceived performance: Squad for sessions with several people, Lounge for solo or two-person rounds. Unused connections on the Squad get capped off, which is normal operation.

You have three options for the configuration. Clear Bowl and Frosted Bowl come with a glass bowl, measure approx. 52 cm and weigh approx. 4.1 kg; the difference between the two is purely in the glass finish, clear versus satin. This smoke column set stays without a bowl at approx. 49 cm and approx. 2.2 kg and leaves the glass choice up to you.

Who is this Varity suitable for?

For anyone who smokes with a group and still doesn't want to be locked into one particular glass. Four connections cover a full round, and since no bowl is included, you can choose the glass by shape, size or color – or use one you already own.

The blue sleeve is the option for anyone who wants color but not a signal color: it stays more restrained than Pink or Yellow and also works with clear glass. If you'd rather smoke right after unboxing, the Varity Squad with Clear or Frosted bowl is the more direct route.

Care & construction

The splittable dip tube pays off when cleaning: you can reach every inner surface instead of having to rinse long tubes out in one piece. Stainless steel parts get warm water and a brush, the resin sleeve only warm water and a soft cloth – for both materials you skip abrasive sponges and aggressive cleaners.

Then let all parts dry completely before reassembling. The seals are wear parts: check them regularly for a tight fit and cracks, since you'll notice a tired seal immediately in the draw, before you see it.
