Design & finish: Wavy Pink on Squad Black
The pink sleeve carries the same wave relief as the other Wavy versions, but appears noticeably more contrast-rich against the black-coated base than the darker variants in the series. Acrylic/epoxy resin absorbs the color in depth instead of just carrying it as a surface coating – which is why the tone stays visible even in the wave troughs.
Because this configuration lacks the bowl, you see the construction more openly than with the glass variants: Squad base, dip tube fitting and blow-off ring are exposed. That's exactly how the Varity is designed – sleeve, charcoal plate, diffuser and blow-off ring are individual components that Moze also carries separately.

Individually adjustable draw
The sentence Moze uses to explain the series is: "Because both the dip tube and the smoke column can be individually split, you decide for yourself how your Varity feels when you smoke it." The manufacturer spans the range between a more direct draw and a softer pull, but doesn't specify which setup leads where. That assignment is left up to you – and is the real reason the Varity is built this way.
On top of that come two more swappable parts: the blow-off is its own ring, which Moze's photos show in two mounting positions – up top under the charcoal plate and down at the base. The diffuser at the lower end of the dip tube makes the draw quieter and softer and can likewise be swapped out. Moze also offers extension segments for the smoke column and dip tube, letting you lengthen the column and use the long sleeves; they are not included in this set's scope of delivery.

Squad or Lounge? The comparison
Between Squad and Lounge, the only difference is the base: four hose connections here, one there. All other parts – smoke column, dip tube, diffuser, blow-off ring and charcoal plate – are the same, as are height and weight. It's not true that more hoses would smoke worse; unused connections are simply closed off.
For the configurations, this applies: Clear bowl (clear glass) and Frosted bowl (satin glass) come with the bowl and measure approx. 52 cm at approx. 4.1 kg. This smoke column set comes without a bowl at approx. 49 cm and approx. 2.2 kg. Between Clear and Frosted, only the glass look decides.

If you already own a Varity or another Moze and want to build up a second smoke column in a different color, this is the right choice too. The four connections on the Squad base are clearly aimed at rounds with several people.
It's not suitable for an immediate start without a further order: bowl, hose, tobacco head and charcoal are missing. If you want the complete setup in one box, go for the Varity Squad Black with Clear or Frosted Bowl (approx. 52 cm, approx. 4.1 kg).
Care & construction
For the smoke column, dip tube and charcoal plate, warm water and a brush are enough. Aggressive or abrasive cleaners don't belong on the black coating or on the resin sleeve – both can become dull from it. Afterward dry the parts thoroughly and let them air out uncovered before you put them away.
Assembly follows the order bowl, smoke column with dip tube, charcoal plate, tobacco head. Since you'll reassemble the dip tube and smoke column on the Varity more often than on a fixed shisha, it's worth a quick check of the seals with every assembly: they're the wear part that determines airtightness.

Which bowl do I additionally need for the Wavy Pink smoke column set?
A glass bowl isn't included, so you'll need to order one separately – you'll find them at hookahx.de/bowls/. The Varity accepts both push-fit and screw bowls, both types work. For push-fit bowls, Moze offers a separate push-fit bowl adapter; across the brand, Moze designs its models for the usual 45 mm push-fit bowls.
How are the hose and tobacco head connected?
The Squad Base has four hose connections; if not all are needed, the remaining ones are closed off. The tobacco head sits on top of the smoke column with a head seal, Moze doesn't specify a special size for it. Neither the hose nor the tobacco head are included in the scope of delivery.
What are the set's dimensions?
Without the bowl, the height is approx. 49 cm, the weight approx. 2.2 kg. The dip tube has a 12 mm inner diameter, the smoke column 11 mm, the charcoal plate 19 cm diameter. As soon as a bowl sits on top, the finished setup goes over 50 cm – hence the classification in the size class Large.
Was liegt bei?
The box contains the smoke column with Squad Base and dip tube, the 19 cm charcoal plate and the seals. Deliberately missing are the glass bowl, hose, mouthpiece, tobacco head, charcoal, charcoal tongs and HMD. So plan for the bowl and the rest of the accessories too.
How do I change the draw on the Varity?
Both the dip tube and the smoke column can be divided, so you decide through the setup how the shisha feels. Moze describes the range as a more direct draw versus a softer pull, but doesn't assign a fixed effect to the variants. In practice that means: rebuild, smoke, compare.
What's the deal with the blow-off ring?
The blow-off isn't a fixed component on the Varity, but its own ring that can be swapped. It works with balls – 7 mm in the base, 11 mm in the hose adapter. On Moze's product photos it's shown in two mounting positions: up under the charcoal plate and down at the base.

Is this a good option for a first shisha purchase?
Only to a limited extent: without a bowl, hose, tobacco head and charcoal you can't get started, so you're deliberately ordering several parts together. If you want to make these decisions yourself, this gives you exactly the right base for it. For beginners who want everything ready in the box, we recommend the version with a Clear or Frosted bowl.
How do I clean the pink sleeve and the stainless steel?
Warm water and a brush are enough for the metal parts; the resin sleeve is best just wiped down. Skip scouring agents and aggressive cleaners, as they can attack the coating and the resin surface. Then let everything dry thoroughly and keep an eye on the seals.
